Author's POV
Lavanya and Jacky came back to San Francisco and informed James about their plans to visit India. James wanted to come with them but Jacky stopped him and told him to look after his business.
The next day, they both took a flight back to India. Lavanya hesitated to inform her parents about this but she did inform her best friend Ruhi while she was in the airport.
"What?! You are already here and you are telling this to me now?" Ruhi yelled.
"I am sorry, Ruhi...I don't know how to explain this but I am quite nervous about the talk between my parents and Mr.Dawson." Lavanya explained.
"Oh...it will be an intense one!" She stated.
"Yes! And I have no idea how Mamma and her relatives are going to react. They already said so many things when I broke up the engagement with Virat sir."
"True...I can imagine. Um...do you want me to come? I mean, I know that I can't be of much help but just for moral support!" She offered her best friend.
"No, Ruhi...I don't know if that will be right because it's a family thing, you know."
"I get it...totally." She agreed.
"I just hope, everything goes well!" Lavanya prayed glancing at Dawson from afar.
"Don't worry, it has to happen one day!" Ruhi said.
"Hmm..." She saw Jacky walking towards her with their luggage. "Look, I need to go. Mr.Dawson is coming, I will call you later."
"Okay, okay but keep me updated." Ruhi hurriedly reminded.
"Yeah, bye!" Lavanya whispered and hung up the phone when he reached.
"The baggage carousel is quite a big task to handle!" He huffed as he finished the sentence and put the luggage down.
She gave a sorry smile to him before asking. "Uh...Mr.Dawson, I was thinking that we should go separately."
"What, why? I had called Jamaal to send the car, the driver is on his way." Jacky informed.
How shall I tell you about my wary, Mr.Dawson? You have no idea what is going to happen if people saw us together.
How can I stop you? Lavanya thought.
Suddenly, she winced as Jacky touched her shoulder to bring her back from the lost world. "Y-yes, Mr.Dawson?" She babbled.
"What are you thinking?" He narrowed his eyes.
"N-nothing." She replied blinking away.
Jacky smiled looking at a taxi driver who was dramatically convincing a Chinese couple to take his taxi; when they shook their heads and the taxi driver almost started dragging their luggage towards the taxi stand, Jacky laughed hysterically making Lavanya furrow in confusion.
After a minute, she felt embarrassed as people who were passing by started staring at them. "What are you doing, Mr.Dawson? Why are you laughing so loudly? People are looking at us!" She glanced here & there whispering at him.
"The-the hooligans!" He told in between his laughs.
"What hooligans?" She frowned.
"Those taxi drivers!" He pointed his index finger towards the taxi stand.
"Taxi drivers??"
"Yes!" He nodded and laughed again which annoyed her more.
"Mr.Dawson, I am not at all able to understand what you are saying, please, say it clearly. Either you talk or just laugh! Don't do both at the same time!" She got a little angry.
