Demon City Castle~ Demon City

Winter was thrown on the ground and she rolled to soften the impact. The Demon attacked her again and this time she was ready, with a spin, she kicked her foot out, catching the Demon in the side as it rushed past her. There was a sickening sound of bones crunching on impact and the Demon screamed in agony. Aja clapped his hands from his post against the wall. They were standing inside the training room, which was the room they had walked through prior to the courtyard what seemed like weeks ago.

"Great job miss. You're hurting Demons left, right, and center."

Winter laughed at his enthusiasm before another Demon appeared to her right, wiping her legs out from underneath her. She landed on her back hard, knocking the breath out of her lungs. Looking up towards the ceiling, she could see that the sun was up and coming in bright through the windows. Aja squealed as the Demon moved to pounce on Winter. With one thought Winter was back on her feet and bringing the Demon down cracking what should have been a shoulder blade as it hit the ground with a cry.

"Can I stop? I think I'm hungry."

Aja nodded, clapped his hands, and he motioned for Winter to follow him. They stepped out into the courtyard and the view was more breathtaking than before. The trees and bushes all wore brightly colored flowers that Winter had never seen before in her life, the grass was so green it reflected onto the stones, making the pathways and walls near the grass have a green tint. Aja moved to the pathway on the right and followed it through the trees. Winter followed him and they came to a small gazebo covered in ivy, inside the gazebo were a small table and a couple of large, plush cushions to sit on.

"This is where you will be having lunch from now on." Aja spoke as he took a seat near the front entrance of the gazebo on a smaller pillow.

Winter took a seat and let out a deep breath as her body began to relax, she wasn't sure how long she had been training but she knew it had been a long time since she had taken a seat. "So what's for lunch?"

Aja snapped his fingers and a couple of plates filled with food appeared; vegetables and meats on one plate, fruits on another. Winter began to eat right away, but paused as she was about to stuff a piece of meat into her mouth. "Aren't you going to eat too?"

The Demon shook his head, "That is the Queens dish; I will eat when the King allows me."

Winter narrowed her black eyes at the Demon, "Well since I'm queen, I say you can eat with me, right off my plate- here." She moved her hand to pass him the meat.

Aja moved quickly to get it from her fingers and he scrambled back to his pillow in the corner so he could eat it. He almost reminded Winter of a cat that stood on two legs and wore a small blue coat. "Here, have more." She pushed the plate towards him and he gladly accepted the offer of more food, moving from his pillow to gather a handful before moving back to his pillow.

Winter and Aja ate in silence. When the food was finished Aja snapped his fingers and the plates disappeared. He then took a bow in front of Winter. "Thank you oh mighty Queen miss. Aja is glad to be your servant for life."

Winter laughed and stood, stretching her arms and yawning. "I'm going to take a walk, you want to go?"

Aja shook his head, "I'm going to attend the broken Demons."

Winter nodded; since the Demon King had awoken her Demon inside she hadn't felt the need to leave the castle. The Demon King had been right, Taran and the rest of the Demon Hunters didn't want her that's why they had given her to the Demons, at the least the Demons treated her like a Prophecy she was supposed to be. She walked from the gazebo and followed one of the three paths leading away from the castle. The garden was lush and peaceful as she walked slowly through, taking deep breaths, letting her body heal from the torture it had endured from the Demon training. As she rounded a corner she noticed light coming from a seam in one of the walls standing behind a bush. She approached it cautiously, sniffing the air for any threats. She placed her hand on the seam and felt the warm ocean breeze break through, pushing into it the wall slid forward.
