Liam and Niall found themselves outside Niall's house. The boy was sitting on his lawn with a notebook in hand. Liam didn't move forwards much more. He was growing flustered. There was an attractive boy not too far from him. How could he act normal?

"Niall he's hot," Liam said in a whisper.

"Jesus - why do you think every boy you see is hot?" Niall asked.

"There's a lot of hot boys in the world." Liam shrugged. "Let's go over and say hi." He walked across the road and stood in front of the mystery boy. "Hello." He said, just loud enough for the boy to hear. They boy looked up. For a moment he was frozen. Then, he shook his head and looked at Liam.

"Um, hi?" He said, kind of shocked. Liam stepped forwards.

"I'm Liam and this is Niall. I live next door and he lives across the street. We thought we come say hi." Liam help his hand out for the boy.

"I'm Chris," he said, squinting at Liam under the sun. He didn't shake Liam's hand. It was like he didn't see it. So Liam let his hand fall back to his side.

"Where are you from?" Liam asked. He sat down. Niall sighed and sat with him.

"That's a little forwards," Chris said. He put his notebook down. "Don't you think?"

Liam shrugged. "You're new here. I can tell by your accent. You sound American anyways. So there's a hint. But anyways, back to my main point. You're new here and I like making friends."

"Don't be too forwards," Niall hissed.

"Sorry," Liam apologized.

"It's okay. I should probably go." Chris got up and headed inside.

"That went well," Niall said, his tone laced with sarcasm.

"That was attempt one, dear Niall. We'll try again soon."
