Liam heard the sound of something hitting the side of his house. The sound was loud enough to bring him out of his sleep. Harry's name was on his lips. The sound momentarily stopped his heart. Liam wasn't a big fan of loud noises, and he had a good reason too.

After a few minutes of fear, Liam went to check his window for what had caused the sound. He saw Chris on his own roof like the night before. Chris motioned for Liam to open the window.

"I'm coming over," Chris said.

"What?"

"I'm coming over. Keep your window open." Chris took a few steps back and Liam was about to ask if he should go unlock the front door when Chris ran and jumped from his roof to Liam's. The sight almost gave Liam a heart attack. He didn't need to see another dead body. One was enough for his lifetime.

But Chris was fine. He stood up and looked back at his house before smiling at Liam.

"If my parents find out, they're going to kill me," he said.

"You're insane!" Liam gasped.

"I've done it before. Don't worry. Now move so I can come in." Chris climbed through Liam's window before Liam could protest. "Lunch was weird. I thought we could re-start."

Liam noticed a bandage on Chris' arm. He was sure it wasn't there earlier.

"Sure," Liam said. "Just we have to be quiet, somehow you haven't woken my parents up yet."

"I didn't even think about that," Chris said. "I'm so sorry."

Liam shook his head. "It's okay. I've had people stay the night before. Just usually there's a warning first. And they don't jump from house to house. Are you like a weird Peter Pan?"

"No - it would be cool if I was eh?" Chris looked around Liam's room, eyes landing on Liam's bookshelves. "You have a lot of books."

"I like reading. Some of them belong to my ex." Liam shrugged. Chris went over to the bookshelf and touched some of the books.

"I've only seen this many books in libraries. Do you know how many you have?"

"Over three hundred," Liam said. Most of them were Harry's. Liam hated reading until Harry showed him some good books. He took one off the shelf. "Read this."
