Why? Why? Why? is all they ask.
Why not? Is my repeated reply.
I want to love a soldier
and everyone seems to question that statement.
They all say "but you'll be lonely."
Those guys go out and risk their lives,
they train hard and fight harder
for their country which
contains a good amount of ungrateful citizens.
They deserve more than some money
and a few holidays. Don't you think?
They sleep any and everywhere
on small bunk-beds, with little to no luxuries
of a basic human being.
I want to give a soldier something to look forward to,
a skype call... a letter and maybe a reason to stay alive.
I want to love one so deeply,
So he'll understand that someone out there
cares for him and the safety of his life.
And when he gets home after few years,
I'll run to him and jump into his arms,
and embrace the moment.
I'll appreciate every little time we spend together
and pray that'll we'll be able to get more.
Maybe we can have a kid,
who'll look forward to his arrival too.
Someone else he can surprise
by coming home unannounced.
We'll cherish every moment of our lives
and be a happy family,
until the day we die.

Song above (Enrique Iglesias - Hero)
I dedicate this to all the soldiers out there protecting our lives and risking their own.
I pray that God bless them and do what's best for them in each and every situation.
We all need love. Even if we're far away and even if we're soldiers.

Poetic Justice
PoetryThis a book containing my poems. The poems are far from literal, i don't write directly. It's also a bit depressing. I don't write about hearts and flowers. That may or may not change in the future. You want poems to relate to loneliness, depression...
