The pictures we took, filled with smiles,
I stare with a good ole reminiscing eye,
the memories we had that brought happiness,
nostalgia takes over, everything I cherish.
I wish it we didn't take the easy way out
we could've find solutions to problems we faced
If the truth was acknowledged with out doubt
we'd make good times resurface again
Perpetuated lies, blank emotional facades
are reasons why I'm still in pain
if like this we stay and not change
we'll continue being ancient historical remains.
Maybe one day the truth'll come out
so we can communicate in better ways
meaning this can be sorted out
and history will become our modern day.
