5 hours.
5 tedious, humdrum, inapplicable hours.
I was currently sitting outside of the small lodge, freezing terribly. My pale achromatic skin was more discernible than the ruptured concrete.
They both took me to this terra nova domain and expected it be satisfactory. I had a decision to enter in the hut but I was way to frustrated and refused to enter.
"Cody?"
And I refused to answer.
"I brought you some tea." My closed eyes twitched as the wind scratch my ankles.
Neither did Brianna or Spencer had the decency to bring me some temperature appropriate clothes.
Pj shorts, tank top with my slippers and my robe keeping me warm as much it could possibly can.
I felt disgusting. I didn't take my morning shower nor brush my teeth and I had work later this evening.
"Look Cody I'm really sorry about how we took you like this but-"
"You give me a fabricated apology and a cup of tea an expect me to pardon what you guys did? Now that's preposterous." I pulled in my legs into my chest and rest my chin on my knees.
"But he's doing what's best for you."
"I'm a fully grown adult. Believe it or not I can take care of myself."
"But this is a different situation."
"Brianna I can handle a simple break in an entry."
"Just trust him, you know how much he cares about you."
She was willing to use the guilt charge on me. I had rejected him more times than I can count.
"I know, I know, I know but does he have to take me to some foreign place? Can't I just say with you?"
Brianna thought about it for a minute. She places the tea right by my foot causing it to clink. "I guess that's possible."
"Spencer...C'mere." For a second I thought she was talking to me because of how low she spoke. She wasn't yelling. It was as if she was talking to herself. Her foot crunched the yellow leaf as she spoke.
"What? What happen?" He came running. Barefoot, sweat pants low and white tank top in his hands.
"You went out for a run?" Brianna asked.
"Yeah and I also had to look around the territory to make sure."
"Find anything?"
He shook his head and fluttered his eyes towards me.
"So Cody and I have been thinking that were leaving-" Spencer was already disagreeing. Shaking his head and all. "Wait. I didn't finish. She's staying with me, and I promise to keep her safe. So, what'd you think?"
"Absolutely not!"
I had finally decided to come in the lodge and be a less of a pain. I couldn't see myself being here for a day-left alone a week. The cabin was just so dull. There was no type of color, no wide windows, not even a small piece of abstract design.
The only acumen that I'd stay here would be because of the forest. The view is stunning. Stunning enough to paint. All trace of leaves fall from the branches were piled onto the ground. The spring colors fused together.
After coming inside without a fight, I took a shower and changed in some clothes that Spencer lent me. I watch the two argue as if I wasn't here. I was jealous of the peace that was occurring outside rather than where I am.
