His low baritone voice vibrated within me.

Hello, I'm Connor

Hello, I'm Connor

Connor

I didn't realize we were the only two alone and his hand was extended for me to shake.

"Ha-hi." I swallowed the remains of the salted pretzels harshly down the tube of my throat.

"I'm Cody." My fingers brushed into his large hot palm.

"Short for anything?" I absently shook my head and held longer onto his hand. His thumb bruised into my knuckles and I flinched at the surge of heat that deliciously stung the pit of my stomach.

"No?" He answered like he knew I was hiding something.

"Yes, uh, I meant no? Wait. Sorry, what was the question?" He chortled briefly squeezing my hand. My numb hand.

"Is that your full name?" His predominant colored eyes enthralled me and my answer.

"Darling?" This strangers endearment words towards me arose goosebumps on my arms and legs.

"No," I breathed. He encouraged me to tell him.

"It's Cordelia." I whispered.

My feet were feeling weak as I only stood inches away from him. His clone, his natural scent or whatever it was made my nostrils tingle. I flared them ever so often to absorb even more.

"Cordelia." It was a sin for a voice to do such things to me. Such things that led me to confidential thoughts.

I was gawking him like I've never seen man before. But it was indubitable, I have never seen man like this before.

Too inevitable to look away from. The word pulchritudinous would be too feminine to describe him. He was masculine. He was virile.

Hazel.

A concoction of colors.

That's what they were.

His eyes.

The delicate gray glimpses with adulation, the enterprise of teal that held so much and the dominance and prowess of brown. Qualities that all apply to this man. Even with just a stance so simple.

My arm has become weak from the strength of gravity pulling it down. I conclude that I've should've let go already.

He felt my hand loosen but he only responded with a squeeze tighter and a step closer.

"At last." He exhaled sensually.

I wanted to burry my nose into his neck, lay my head against his chest, graze my arms along his back, wrap my legs around his waist and my lips hover over his. Anticipating the way he'd taste.

Too fast

"I-uh, what can I help you with?"

"Many."

Cling cling

Group of my females co-workers waltzed in with Starbucks cups and plastic bags. They cease their laughter and glared at the back of the Adonis wavering above me.

He clenched his eyes shut, caressing my knuckles one last time then he let go.

He turned around to see Meg standing off to the side. Robyn with the styrofoam plate filled with the cups that were steaming from the top. Octavia with the keys dangling out of her jacket. Justine with the paper Starbucks bag in both her hands and Romona with a melting chocolate chip cookie in her hand.
