"I-uh. Evening Connor." My hand tightened around my chest as my left hand held the door. He gave me his winning smile and took a step over the threshold.

"May I come in? That's if you are okay with it."

No

"Yeah, sure." Connor took another step but for some reason I couldn't move. He was close yet he wasn't touching me. "Oh," I moved out his way, stepping to the side.

"It amazes me, you letting a complete stranger into your house."

"I've met you before. It's not like I haven't seen you."

"You've only seen me once-this being the second. Unknowing what I'm capable of." He zipped down his jacket and gave me a smug look.

"Are you indicating an ensue? Should I be ready to throttle you?"

I shut my door, locking the top and bottom.

Clack, click

Sounded throughout my ears. Connor pushed his jacket over his shoulder but before he took it off completely, he glanced up and questioned,"Do you mind?"

Not at all

"No, it's fine."

He shrugged off his jacket leaving him with a V-neck. I had to blink rapidly to make sure I wasn't seeing falsity.

I think arms were definitely a favoritism.

His shirt clung to his broad shoulders as he moved. It complimented his body frame. His slight brawny arms is what really caught my attention. As long as he kept moving I don't think I'd be able to peel my eyes off. The white shirt he wore didn't make it any better. The light color adored his sand shaded skin.

Goosebumps arose on my legs and arms as he folded his jacket and tucked it under his bicep.

Grams would definitely look down on me if she caught me greedily wondering my eyes over the opposite sex. She probably wouldn't even expect it from me.

I had always listened to her,

Life and love are like hide and seek. Don't go a looking, if you can't manage a keeping

I was abstinent throughout my life because I couldn't go for something that I didn't have the time to be able to attend to-in simpler terms, I couldn't look for a boyfriend or husband and still focus on my main priority-education.

She thought it was impossible to have the two at the same time. Now, I've always thought of it as ridiculous but high school put me in her perspective. The women never told lies.

She'd clearly be disappointed in me now and all her inspiring and lesson learned quotes are going in one ear and out the other but coming right back to remind me. It was like a circular path. It came, it left and was back.

My thoughts took the best of me, allowing to picture all inappropriate scenery. His sinful handsome features shifted into a knowing sneer as he caught me staring.

I know for sure I reddened.

"Throttle me how?" No way in missing how forward he sounded but he came into leading it into something non suggestive.

"With a weapon? Perhaps a bat."

"I wouldn't do or use anything unless I was under attack,"

"I wouldn't think of you to do anything considering your condition."

"My condition?"

"Your lack of clothing, Cordelia."

"Right, I'll be right back." I reluctantly turned around. I barely shut my door when I heard my doorbell ring.
