Chapter 5

(Sam's POV)

I slowly started to walk down the hallway looking at the doors out of the corner of my eye, till I seen room for 4. I turned on my heel and stopped right in front of the door. I was terrified to go in. Of what? I didn't know. It was just a black hole in the bottom of my stomach, the fear that, I couldn't finish that thought because I still didn't know. It was the unknown that's what I was afraid of. The simple unknown. I stepped forward, opening the door I looked to the hospital bed and seen him with his eyes closed. I walked over to him, grabbed his hand and kissed his head softly.

"Hey, Ashton." I said quietly. He slowly opened one of his eyes like an idiot he was.

"Hey, Sammie," He said opening his eyes."How did you get here?"

I blushed. "Axel."

He gave me a confused and amused look since he knew I liked Axel. "Browns had a family emergency, so Axel and Tyler moved to they're spot."

"Nice, are excited about that?" He laughed.

"Umm, yes and no. Yes because I like him and I want to get to know him better, but no because of Ruby! She is confusing me she told me in one message that I quote 'Sometimes I like him because I'm around him, but sometimes I don't, ok'. I don't get it. It seems like all the girls around me have such emotional problems! It like get your stupid fucking feelings right. God damn, but then again I'm not better!" I said in a quiet rant.

"It's alright, she always did confuse me." He said with a thinking face. I giggled at him.

"I'm tired." He said yawning. I smiled.

"Well, I'll go so you can rest," I said getting up. "I will be back tomorrow afternoon before I have to get ready for trail, Ok?"

"Yeah, bye, goodnight, Como estas whatever." He said shutting his eyes. I laughed as he tried to speak Spanish. I walked out of his room and into the waiting room. I saw that it was almost midnight and that Axel was awake talking to Tom.

"Yeah, well there is the-" Axel seen me walk in.

"So what you guys talking about?" I went over to Axel and sat down beside him.

"How that price of cattle have gone up." Tom said.

"Interesting." I said.

"I'm tired." I mumbled laying my head on Axel's shoulder.

"Come on then I'll take you back." Axel said getting up and pulling me up with him.

"No, I don't want to walk."

"Fine, hop on." He said motioning to his back. I hopped up and wrapped my legs around his waist quickly and wrapped my arms around his neck. I laid my head on the back of his neck as he started to walk away. I my head to wave really quickly just Mary winked at me. I just stuck my tongue out at her. I laid my head back down on his neck when they got out of sight.

"I'm hungry." I said against his neck without realizing it.

"Me too," He said causally."How 'bout we go to Wendy's?"

"Sonic." I whispered right into his ear without realizing it.

"Sure."

He walked out of the hospital with me still on his back. 'Damn he's strong.' I thought. We got to the truck I hopped off and crawled into the truck.

"You know, I really like your truck." I said looking around on the inside. I turned to look at the back seat, a very big back seat. 'Bad Sammy, bad, bad, bad, Sammy' I told myself for thinking of something not very innocent.
