I don't think I say the question out loud by based on the answer I get I do.
"It's called the lost lands." A deep voice says, I turn a tall man stands there, dark skin and deep brown eyes, "Hello, I'm Leroy, don't worry your not dead.:" That's a relief, I was standing in a pure white place, I couldn't tell if there was walls or a floor because of all of the white and I got worried that I had gotten to heaven without noticing.
:I- I'm Sophie" I stutter, "What's the Lost Lands?"
Leroy sighs, "It's a place for people stuck in time. The last person who was here was a girl who goes by the name of Crimson, it's nice to have new company."
"Crimson was here?" I ask surprised.
"Yes, are you a friend of some sort?" He questions.
"Of some sort I guess ."
"Then I can assure you, you will get out soon."
"Yeah maybe, What do we do here." I ask worried there looks like there's nothing for kilometres (Canadian Born Canadian raised.)
"We sit and wait." Leroy says sadly.
"Leroy, what are you?" the question comes out before I can figure out a more polite way to ask.
"What ever Do you mean." He looks taken aback, "I'm an elf. Now I know you must not believe me because of you human ways but I can assure you-"
"Leroy, I'm an elf too."
"But your eyes, surely not,"
"No It's true, special genes."
"Well Sophie, looks like you and me can talk about something we both understand, tell me how is my world doing?"
"Your world?"
"Yes I'm one of the founders of Eternila. Now answer the question." Well, I guess this is how I'll be living my life now, I sat on the ground and set to work on filling up Leroy's curious mind.
