David and I go up to Daniel to tell her what had just happened. She was so excited and proud of David for being able to do it on his own. She had known that he had liked me and she was excited for it to become official.
"So when are you guys going on your first date?" asks Danielle with great excitement.
"I don't know haha, he had just only just now asked me out."
"Well actually, Melody, I wanted to ask you if you would go to a movie with me tonight. Will you?"
"Of course I will!" I say excitedly.
"Okay great!" David says with a wide grin.
The bell rings for class and we go to class, all of us happy about what had just happened moments ago.
For the rest of the day I couldn't help but think about what had happened and I couldn't concentrate on any of my coursework. I go home on the bus and I basically sprint to my house to inform my mum about the news of today.
"Oh gosh, my little girl growing up so fast," my mum says in a fake cry voice. "When is he picking you up honey?"
"I don't know yet, I have to text him to ask him. "
"Well go do it!" my mum exclaims.
I go off to my room and I immediately text David on the number he had given me. He responds in what felt like quicker than the speed of light, the time of the movie showing. He tells me the movie showing is at 6:00 so I get ready quickly and prepare for what feels like will be the best night of my life.
