*2010*

"What a fucking cocksucker." I shook, looking at the video that was on YouTube. It was easily titled "Take A Vacation!"

"What?" Brendon came up behind me. He looked at the bulky laptop that was sitting on the table in front of me. He let out a deep sigh. "Agnes."

"I told you to call me Amelia." I muttered, looking intently at the music video.

"Get off that. We're going to go song writing. You're coming with." Brendon stated firmly. I shook my head.

"Nah." I moved the cursor over the video and clicked play on it.

"You're coming with, Ames. I don't care if you want to stay home. You've been locked up for a week now."

"Brendon, come on. Please." I looked at him. "He needs to take a vacation." I put on a fake smile before shaking my head. "He has a new girlfriend." I looked at the ground as I stood up. Brendon placed his arm at the small of my back and lead me out to his car.

"I know." He stated softly.

"Of course you know." I scoffed and shook my head. I climbed into his car. "Z. She goes by Z." I threw my head back. "It's been what? A year? It's been a year." I sighed and looked at the ceiling of the car. It's been exactly a year. He broke up with me a year ago.

"She's cool, Ames." Brendon stated before pulling out of the drive way and driving towards Spencer's house.

"I don't care if she's cool or not, Brendon." I spat. "A fucking year. I don't even know why I'm so pissed."
"Because you loved him." Brendon stated softly.

"I need to take a vacation. If this is settling down." I sang to myself. "What the fuck is that even supposed to mean?!" I shook my head. "Can you drop me off at a bar?" I looked at Brendon and ask. He laughed and shook his head.
"Nope." He popped the 'P'. "Dallon misses you. Spencer misses you. Even Sarah misses you and you god damned live with her."

"I miss everyone too. I just prefer to be left alone." I shrugged.

"Maybe it's time you finally get over Ryan." Brendon glanced over at me. "Write some music. It helps."

"Okay." I nodded, looking down at my jeans. "I'll do that then."

"When was the last time you wrote anyway?"

"I don't want to tell you." I mumbled.

"That just tells me it's been awhile."

"It has been awhile." I stated, looking at him. "November 23rd of last year."

"It's July."

"You don't need to remind me, Bren." I looked at him. "It's just hard for me to get over him. He was the first person I dated. The first person... Ryan was my first. I was expecting to marry him." I looked back at my hands. "And then he goes and breaks up with me, leaves his band, starts a new one with Jon and gets a new girlfriend. I need to take a break from us." I repeated the words Ryan had said to me last year. "What if that album... There's a song on it called Cape Town, Brendon."

"Yeah? So?"

"He proposed to me in Cape Town." I looked at Brendon. "I'm over analyzing this. Aren't I?"

"A little bit, yeah." Brendon pulled into the drive way of Spencer's house. He parked and looked at me. "You're going to hate me for saying this." He cleared his throat. "Go out. Go to a bar. Get a new man." I let out a deep sigh.

"Fine." I looked at him. "I'll do that." I nodded. We both got out and quietly walked in. Spencer, Dallon and Ian were already sitting on the couches waiting for Brendon to arrive. Spencer was the first to see me. He simply smiled before standing up and coming over to me.

"Spence," I smiled softly before wrapping my arms around him, "how are you?"

"I'm good. I missed you."

"So I've heard." I let out a forced laugh. "I missed you too." I nodded.

"Well, we have paper and pens and notebooks." Spencer awkwardly laughed before letting Brendon and I pick a seat on a couch. I sat next to Dallon.

There were three extra notebooks on the table. I grabbed one and flipped it open. I was instantly met with his messy hand writing. I caught a glimpse at the title and then shook my head.

"Alrighty then." I muttered, closing the note book and placing it on the table. I picked up another one and flipped it open. It was clean. Brand new. None of Ryan's messy hand writing.

Brendon picked up the other note book and then they started writing.

"I wrote a song for Sarah." Brendon stated. I looked at the blank pages of my notebook as the bandmates talked about what should go on their new album. I didn't write for the first fifteen minutes.

"What about that one song?" Dallon spoke up, leaning over to grab the last notebook. "Did Ryan say we can use it?" He looked at Brendon as he flipped it open. "I mean... It's not 100% finished. But, I'm sure we can-"

"It's not ours to use, Dall." Brendon stated, looking at me. I kept staring at the blank note book.

"Use it. I don't care." I spat, looking at the note book that Dallon was holding. "If he gave you permission to use it before he and Jon left, then use it." I closed the blank note book that was sitting in front of me and stood up. I went to the door.

"Agnes," Brendon started.

"Amelia." I corrected. "I'm going for a walk. Use the damn song. I don't care." I looked at the four people in the room before I went outside.

"God... I need to take a vacation." I mumbled. I slightly shook my head. Take A Vacation! That's so... I can't believe him. He needs to take a vacation.
