We made it to the hotel before the others. I can only assume Martin forgot to tell Allison that Ryan and I made our own way towards the hotel.
"Huh..." I paused as we both got out of the cab. Ryan was in the middle of a transaction. I stood outside the door and waited for him to finish. He came out and stood next to me. "Do you reckon Marty forgot to tell Allison?" I looked up at him.
Ryan was significantly taller than me. I was only 5' 4'' and he had to have been close to 6 feet. Well, so is Brendon and everyone else...
"Probably. I'm sure they'll figure it out sooner or later. Come on." He nodded towards the door. I walked in and Ryan followed.
The inside of the hotel was spacious. There was a small sitting area on one side of the lobby. On the other side was the front desk. A man was sitting at the desk, and he was wearing a suit. He didn't look very enthused about his job, which is sad.
"Do you think they'll let us get our rooms? Or do you think we'll be stuck with waiting in the lobby?"
"They'll let us get our rooms." Ryan nodded, leading me towards the desk. "I'm here for a check in?" He asked, looking at the manager.
"Name?" The manager asked, typing at his computer.
"Uh..." Ryan looked at me for a split second.
"Agnes Blake." I spoke up. The manager nodded before looking up at us.
"Little young to be getting a hotel room." He stated, looking at me.
"I'm not that young." I scoffed back.
"Cut it out." Ryan nudged my ribs. I scowled and looked at him.
"You room number is 224. It's on the second floor to the left. Enjoy your stay." The manager replied, placing the room key on the desk. I nodded and pocketed it.
"Thanks." I nodded. Ryan and I turned and left the manager and went towards the elevator. We both stepped in and waited for it to go.
"What time is it?" I asked, leaning on the wall of the elevator. Ryan looked at his watch and then at me.
"It's 8." He nodded, rubbing his nose. I nodded.
The elevator halted on our floor. We both got out and walked towards my room.
"I guess you can chill with me till the others get here." I shrugged, unlocking the door and pushing it open.
"Good enough for me." Ryan nodded, following me into the room.
The room had one large bed, a couch, a coffee table, tv, desk, microwave, and a bathroom. The couch was most likely a pull out couch.
"You don't mind if I smoke do you?" He asked, placing his backpack on the coffee table before he sat down on the couch.
"Go ahead." I nodded, sitting on the edge of the bed. The tv remote was sitting on desk next to the tv.
Ryan pulled his bag open and emptied it of its contents. He moved from the couch onto the floor.
"Get off the floor, man. Come on the bed if you're going to roll a joint. I don't care." I scoffed, looking at him. "You have no idea what could've happened on that floor." I added. Ryan rolled his eyes and stood up, bringing his items with him. He sat with his back at the wall, his legs sprawled open and his things in between his legs. I turned and watched him. His lanky fingered moved quickly.
