God, I didn't mean to yell at Lisa like that but I mean she completely left me and then 2 cannons went off like what am I supposed to think? She could of easily been dead and I wouldn't have been able to save her.
She fell asleep but I refuse to sleep now, what if she does it again but this time doesn't come back, no I can't have it.
I pick up my dagger and pick up a rock and start scratch it against it to sharpen it. Might as well do something productive I guess.
My eyes wandered over and they fell upon Lisa's sleeping figure. She honestly looks so cute when she's asleep. If only I could watch for eternity, it's better than this hellhole.
I'll apologize to Lisa when she wakes up, she definitely needs to rest after all she has a pretty nasty cut on her stomach and she just ran around like crazy.
I wonder how my family is holding up, hopefully there doing well. Hopefully Chantry won't do something stupid after all of this considering he has a temper. Connor is probably just upset and a lost soul because I always guided him and now I'm not there for him.
I then suddenly heard footsteps and I quickly went over to Lisa and shook her awake and she sat up and was about to speak but I covered her mouth and put my finger to my mouth to tell her to be quiet.
Once she saw my face she sat up quickly and reached for her bow and quietly put her bag on her back while I grabbed mine and gripped my dagger tight.
We both got really low to the ground and she started putting mud all over her and motioned for me to do the same and I did and we both stayed still until I saw people's feet.
I sucked in my breath and I get Lisa tense up next to me, I quickly looked around to see if there was an escape route and there was!
I saw the footsteps came closer and closer until I heard someone shout.
"I FOUND EM!" Once I heard the person say that I looked at Lisa and stood up and grabbed her hand and took her through the back of the bushes and once we got through I let go of her and we both took off sprinting.
I heard footsteps running behind me but I didn't dare turn around, I'll end up running into a tree or something. I was ahead of Lisa by a few feet but I heard her behind me and I kept running until I tripped over a root but that didn't stop me because I went into a tumble and got up all in one motion and kept running.
"Stupid roots" I muttered as I kept running and finally I turned around and saw Lisa struggling with her running, I looked around and saw a big tree so when Lisa got to me I grabbed her hand and brought her over there and we hid behind it.
"Find them!" I heard someone shout and it sounded like Devin. Shit, shit, shit. Not Devin, of all dam people it had to be him.
I kept Lisa behind me and we stayed as silent as a mouse, maybe even quieter. Though it didn't last long because about a minute later I watched as Jacob walked past the tree and then turned around and he locked eyes with me, well shit.
"THERE RI-" he was cut off by an arrow hitting him right in the neck and he backed up and then dropped to the ground. I turned my head and saw Lisa had her bow at the ready and she had another arrow at the ready and soon enough we were at a stare off between Devin, Crystal, and Becky.
"Ah if it isn't the infamous Lisa Cimorelli and her boy toy Clayton yeah? He said while smirking, and that sent my blood cold. This asshole has got to go, like really.
Lisa P.O.V
I'm really getting tired of Devin's shit now, why does he hate me so much? For beating him in the impressions like really?
I grip my bow and bring it into a firing position as Clayton got into a fighting stance. I watched as Devin was walking towards my side and soon enough he jumped but he couldn't get to me because Clayton jumped in front of me and they started fighting and I looked up to see Crystal with a scared expression and Becky who has a long knife in hand Coke after me.
Oh shit, I was too busy looking at everyone else to notice her I chin towards me. She managed to knock the bow out of my hands and cut my arm with her knife and I did a backwards roll and got up and whipped out my knife and got into a fighting stance even though blood was dripping down my arm.
I looked through my peripheral vision and saw Clayton and Devin trying to rip each other's heads off but I quickly obtain my focus on Becky.
"Cmon we don't gotta fight! We can stand up to the peacekeepers together and refuse to fight!" I tell her but she shook her head.
"They'd kill us then and besides I'll have a pleasure in killing you" she said evilly and lunged at me once more but I got out of the way and pushed her back.
I lifted up my knife and slashed at Becky's side which hit her dead on and she fell to the ground and I walked up to her with my dagger in hand. Do I just stab her?
I suddenly got pushed to the ground and I turned my head and saw Crystal standing above me and she had a knife in hand and was about to stab me but I picked up my knife and quickly threw it at her and it hit her square in the chest and she dropped without a second to spare and soon enough a cannon went off startling me.
I looked over at Becky who had tears in her eyes but then looked at me with pure rage. She got up and started running towards me, oh shit!
I looked at Crystal's body and saw her knife next to her so I quickly crawled over to her and just as I turned around I saw Becky pounce on me and I placed my knife over my chest and Becky rammed right into me and tackled me to the ground.
I was expecting her to start attacking me but she didn't and I looked at her and saw that she was staring off into space. I lightly pushed her off me and soon enough I saw the knife sticking out from her stomach.
"Devin..." I heard her whisper-shout and I turned my head to see Clayton and Devin still fighting but I think he heard her voice and he turned his head and looked in our direction and once he saw Becky he grabbed Clayton and threw him to the ground and ran over to Becky and I quickly moved away from him.
He cradled her into his arms and for the first time I've actually seen an emotion on his face, sadness. I actually feel bad for him a little bit.
"Devin, I love you.." I heard Becky whisper as a few tears went down her face and Devin clutched her hand.
"Don't leave me Becky, we were supposed to win together and... and then have a family!" Come on you can do it just stay with me baby, I love you!" Devin pleaded but I watched as Becky shook her head.
"I'll always be in your heart Devin, never forget and hey, we will meet again one day" she told him and that's all I heard because soon enough I felt myself being dragged away and I turned my head and saw Clayton.
Holy shit his face! It was arranged with a mixed color of bruises and scratches as well as his arms and he has a bunch of cuts goin through his shirt.
"We gotta go" he whispered to me and I nodded and I ran over and picked up my bow and we ran off into the forest. God I can't believe I actually feel sorry for Devin, I mean I guess they loved each other.
A cannon shot brought me out of my thoughts and I heard a scream following, Devin I guess, 3 tributes down 4 to go. Well one thing is certain and that's Devin wanting to kill me.
