"Come on. I wanna but you something." Prodigy said making Alexadrine stop walking.
"No it's fine. Really you don't have to." She protested.
"Yeah so you have something to make you think of me and not Jacob Latimore." Prodigy said as Alexadrine kept her ground. "I will pick you up and carry you." Prodigy tried pulling her arm.
She sighed. "No you don't have to. I was just kidding. Plus I can look at the posters and pictures of you and me, wear your clothes, sleep in your bed, and I'll be around your family so I won't forget." Alexadrine revolted.
"That's cliché and plus I was walking right next to you with my arms around you and you still forgot about me." Prodigy smirked as Alexadrine moved closer to the jewelry store, the direction Prodigy was pulling her in. "I know you hate when people outside your immediate family buy you things but let me buy you, well us, a promise ring." Prodigy pleaded to Alexadrine as she looked at him. "Please?" He smiled looking in her eyes.
"Fine but this is the only thing and the only time." Alexadrine walked with him to the jewelry store. "Yay! But I can't promise that." Prodigy said happily.
"Hi how can I help you?" The jewelry salesperson asked when she saw them walk in."
"Where are you promise rings?" Prodigy asked holding Alexadrine's waist knowing she'd try to walk away.
"Right this way." She smiled at them before leading them to the rings. "We have the regular female and male right here. If you want the engraved rings they're the next display over and birthstones on the other side of those." She explained. Prodigy saw Alexadrine looking toward the birthstone designs.
"Okay thanks." Prodigy stepped with Alexadrine to the birthstone display.
"Oh and some of the birthstone rings are available with both birthstones." The salesperson added.
"How long will it take?" Prodigy inquired.
"No longer than an hour." The salesperson nodded and shrugged.
"Okay." Alexadrine nodded.
"Which one do you want?" Prodigy asked as Alexadrine looked through the rings.
"I like that one." She pointed to a ring.
The salesperson looked to where she pointed and saw a heart with a cross on it. "That's actually a purity promise ring."
"No not that one. The one next to it." Alexadrine pointed again.
"Oh good choice. That's one of the ones that has both birthstones and can be engraved. And the male version of that is right here." She pointed to a ring in the next row of rings.
"I like that one." Alexadrine nodded.
"Ok we'll take those. With the peridot and blue topaz birthstones."
"What do you want engraved?"
"Promise and purity on both of ours." Alexadrine smiled.
"I like that." Prodigy pecked Alexadrine's shoulder and rubbed it. "Your skin is so soft, you know that right?" Prodigy admired it.
"Thank you."
"So your rings will be ready in about forty-five minutes." The salesperson said as she picked out a pair. "Do these fit you?" she held them out. The both of them tried on the rings.
"Yeah mine fits and Prod yours makes your hand look sexy." Alexadrine smiled at him.
"Thank you and yours looks beautiful." Prodigy smiled and held her hand looking at the ring around her finger. The couple took off their rings and gave them to the salesperson.
"Okay just step over to the register so I can ring you up." She walked to the back of the store as Prodigy started to walk towards the register with Alexadrine behind him.
"No no no. You stay here. You don't need to hear how much it is." Prodigy stopped her. She looked at him and sighed crossing her arms and dropping her hip. "Love you baby." He kissed her forehead and walked off to the register. Alexadrine stood there watching Prodigy pay for the rings. Prodigy walked back over to Alexadrine and wrapped his arms around her waist. "Are you hungry?" he asked looking in her eyes.
"Just a little." She replied.
"Come on let's get something to eat to pass the time." Prodigy said as Alexadrine turned around to walk out. The two of them walked towards the food court. Alexadrine got a smoothie and Prodigy got pizza. When they sat at the table Prodigy pulled Alexadrine onto his lap. She smiled at him and drank her smoothie. "Babe want some pizza?" Prodigy offered.
"No thanks, I'm good." Alexadrine declined. Alexadrine checked her instagram and twitter while Prodigy ate.
"What should we do next since we have about thirty-five minutes left?" Prodigy asked looking at the time on Alexadrine's phone.
"Tell me how much my ring was." Alexadrine tried tricking him into telling her.
"It was the same amount as you loving me forever." Prodigy replied. Alexadrine looked at him.
"Well then, how am I supposed to pay you back?" she asked picking up his hand.
"Love me." He responded entangling their fingers..
"Huh?" she furrowed her eyebrows at Prodigy.
"Pay me back by loving me." Prodigy let her hand go and wrapped his arms around her kissing her neck. They sat quiet with the sound of everyone around them. Time went by without them noticing. When Prodigy was answering a text Roc, he realized the time. "Babe we should start walking to get our rings because they should be done by the time get there." Prodigy said as he finished the message.
"Okay." She stood up and grabbed her smoothie and phone. After both of them shoved their phones in their back pockets, Prodigy grabbed Alexadrine's free hand intertwining their fingers as they kept walking. "I love your hands. They're so sexy." Prodigy kissed them repeatedly.
"Thank you." Alexadrine giggled as Prodigy continuously pecked her hands.
"Your rings are almost done." The salesperson said when the couple walked in. Alexadrine looked at the display of ankle bracelets.
"You like those?" Prodigy asked when he noticed.
"Yeah but for my daughter, if I have one." She replied.
"You mean our daughter?" Prodigy engulfed Alexadrine in his arms.
"Well yeah but the future isn't promised." Alexadrine answered.
"That's what these rings are for. A promise to each other that we'll last." Prodigy spoke. "Even though promises can be broken I mean this promise and I will keep it." He rubbed her arms with hands.
"Touché." Alexadrine smiled.
"Good and your arms are so soft." Prodigy commented making Alexadrine laugh.
"Prod you're so special." Prodigy laugh along.
"But you love my specialness."
"Yeah keep telling yourself that." Alexadrine said as the salesperson walked over to them with their rings.
"Here are your rings. Any questions?" the salesperson looked at them.
"Yeah just one. How much did—" Alexadrine started but Prodigy cut her off.
"Don't answer that." Prodigy grabbed the box and her hand walking to the exit.
"Oh she hates when people buy her things. Other couples like that have been there so don't worry you're not the only one." The salesperson said as the couple left.
"I think it's almost time for us to head to the airport for my flight." Prodigy wrapped his arms around Alexadrine's waist as they walked to the exit.
"No I don't want you to leave." Alexadrine pouted.
"Don't worry I'll be back before you know it." Prodigy kissed Alexadrine's shoulder. She laughed and placed her hands on his hands. "You know I love you right." He asked resting his head on her shoulder as they continued to walk to the car.
"Yes I do. Everybody loves me." She answered. "But I love you too."
