After Faith left he got up and grabbed the phone book from the night stand. He smiled when he found an Olive Garden, knowing Alexadrine loves it there. He dialed the number, to reserve an outside table for him and Alexadrine. “Thank you.” He smiled hanging up and copying the address down. Faith knocked on the door as he prepared to leave.
“Hey I found her new room.” Faith smiled when he opened the door
“Thanks can you text it to me?” he stepped out. “Please and thank you?”
“Wait where you going?” Faith asked as he closed the door and walked towards the elevator.
“To the florist I saw down the street.” He answered as the elevator doors closed. Faith nodded taking out her phone to text Prodigy Alexadrine’s new room.
‘Hey her room number is 737.’ Prodigy read the text from Faith.
‘Thanks lil sis-in-law lol’ he replied.
‘No big bro-in-law J’ she responded as he started the car.
“Hi welcome to Flowers Forever. How can I help you?” the florist asked when Prodigy walked in.
“Do you have bouquets with Baby’s Breath and Roses?” he walked to the register.
“Yes I do. How many roses would you like?” the florist took out a piece of florist paper.
“Four please.” He answered.
“Alright I’ll be right back.” The florist disappeared into the back. As Prodigy waited he walked around the store looking at the different flowers and accessories displayed on the shelves. After three minutes, the florist burst through the door smiling holding the newly formed bouquet.
“Alright here you go. Would like anything else?” the florist laid the bouquet on the counter.
“Yeah I was looking at the flower hair clips and I don’t know which one to get for my girlfriend.” He pointed to the corner of the store.
“Oh I can help you with that.” The florist walked from behind the register towards the clips.
“What does she look like?” the florist looked up at him. He took out his phone and showed her his lock screen which was a picture of Alexadrine.
“Wow she’s beautiful.” The florist spoke after examining the picture. “I recommend the red Zinnia. It makes her eyes pop and compliments her features at the same time.” She took down the clip handing it to Prodigy.
“Yeah I’ll take it.” He smiled at it.
“Okay I’ll ring you up then.” The florist walked back to the register followed by Prodigy. “Your total is $22.50.” Prodigy took out his card from his wallet to pay. “May I ask the occasion?” she asked carefully wrapping the bouquet.
“I uh upset her earlier today.” He handed her his card feeling ashamed.
“I’m sure she’ll love these.” The florist smiled taking his card. “Thank you. Have a good day and good luck.” The florist gave him his card back.
“Thank you.” Prodigy picture up the bouquet and bag. “Bye.” He walked out to his car and placed the bouquet and bag in the passenger seat. He sighed thinking about Alexadrine as he started the car and changed gears. The closer he got to the hotel the more his nerves grew. The thought of Alexadrine’s smart remarks made him try to think of the right words to say. After failing to find the right words he decided on not letting her talk. He sighed trying to calm his nerves as he parked the car. “Okay Prod. You got this. Just go in there, say what you got to say and don’t let interrupt you.” He tried giving himself a last minute pep talk. He got out the car holding the flowers and advanced to the elevator to go to the seventh floor. After he found her room he adjusted his jacket before knocking on the door.
