XXV
Dear old Mary was found
heartless,
Her eyes wide awake
but in shocked,
That one night
when the air was dense,
And snow fell hard,
her life had stopped.
XXVI
Four people were called
for her death,
They were called upon
to confess.
All were asked
on Mary's last breath.
Is this another game
of chess?
XXVII
Has the queen
sacrificed her move?
And has her king
then won the game?
Was there a war
and was there truce?
Or all's a scheme
of love aflame?
XXVIII
Was it all
just an accident?
Or has someone crossed
the border?
Who's guilty
and who's innocent?
Was all this
just unplanned horror?
XXIX
All is in
the Paragon's shoes,
It is almost time
to decide.
Where's the details,
where are the clues?
Could this be
one more homicide?
XXX
PARAGON:
"So let's start digging
for what's true,
And ready our ears
for their lies."
She was set
for the interview.
"Let's sense guilt
and hear alibis."
