Emma slowly
sat down the chair,
Recalling
dear old Mary's dead.

it was only a scare.
But the news and truth
quickly spread.

The Paragon saw
her mood changed.
She bowed her head
and bit her lip.
Her emotion
suddenly waned.

even just a whit?

EMMA:
"I hated her,
that is a yes.
And I wanted
John James all mine.
But I have nothing
to confess,
With that tragedy
way past nine."

PARAGON:
"I knew
you spoke to her that day,
Just so you know
you have been seen.
You calmly met
at a cafe,
With a little
crying cuisine."

EMMA:
For some thing's
a mess and strewn,
She doesn't think
she could escape.
The truth will come crawling
quite soon.
Moving through
the vines of the grape.
XCVI
EMMA:
"I begged
for John James back to me,
By then
that's the time that she cried.
Because
I told dear old Mary,
I told her
that I am with child."
