THE NEXT morning, after leaving Tyler, Kristina went back home to the Salvatore boarding house. It took all her skills to avoid Damon, fully aware that if he saw her she would have to endure the disapproving look and jokes that he would make to which she would respond with an equally harsh insult. It was something she wasn't in the mood for.
After showering and putting on a fresh pair of clothes, Kristina joined Caroline and Bonnie who were hanging lanterns for the night of illuminations in Mystic Falls. But of course Kristina being the way she is, she sat at the stump of the tree and allowed the two girls to do all the work as they discussed Bonnie's recent occurrence - Jeremy's ex-girlfriend Anna was back in the picture, the trouble was that she was dead.
"So when you did the spell to send Vicki away, did that get rid of Anna too?" Caroline asked, stringing up the lantern.
The blonde vampire passed Bonnie the small light who was stood on top of the ladder as Kristina sat quietly on the ground listening to their conversation and speaking every once in a while.
"I wish. All I did was block the magic that was helping Vicki get a physical foothold here." Bonnie explained "Jeremy's still got a direct line to the other side and as long as he wants to see Anna and she wants to see him, she still here."
Kristina sent Bonnie a sympathetic smile her way as Caroline continued "Ok, you don't think I can actually resist commenting on that."
The werewolf scowled, she was in disbelief. "Caroline, really? You just can't help yourselves sometime."
Caroline scoffed. "Bonnie..."
"What do you want me to say Caroline?" Bonnie's voice changed to disappointment "I went against the balance of nature when I brought Jeremy back to life, and now I'm paying the consequences."
"Well, I want you to say you're not ok with it." Caroline admitted
"I'm a thousand times not ok with it. I just don't know what to do about it." Bonnie's face fell.
Kristina stood up, brushing herself off before walking over to Bonnie "Hey." She held her by the shoulders "If you're not okay with it, just tell Jeremy. Make him understand that this is not okay, I mean, you're a bennett witch for christ sake."
Bonnie laughed as she nodded. She appreciated Kristina's input, she always knew how to make her feel better when times got tough. A raven haired vampire in a blue Camaro approaching pulled the three out of their conversation as they turned their heads to face him.
"Greetings, blondie." He paused as he glanced to Kristina, a smirk on his lips "Wolfie." The nickname caused her to hum as she narrowed her eyes. "Witchy. I think you got your voodoo wires all crossed when you got rid of Vicki Donovan."
