Song: First Date- blink 182

"Mikey, wake up."

I mumbled something totally unintelligible into my pillow.

"Mikey, I'm not even sure that was English."

"I said, 'go fuck yourself.'" I flicked one eye open. "What do you want, Neil?"

He grinned. "No one else is awake yet. We should go get breakfast."

"Do I have to get dressed?"

"No."

"Do I have to put on makeup?"

"Psh."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"You don't need it. Get up before everyone else wakes up." He patted my leg and walked away. I thought it was kind of weird how badly he wanted it to be the two of us, but I got up and went to breakfast with him regardless.

"Why did you want to have lunch with me so bad?" I asked Neil after we ordered and the waiter took our menus.

"Two meals is a lot cheaper than however many." He smiled.

"Why did you want me to be your date so bad though?" I smirked, sipping at my coffee. It tasted like shit but I needed my caffeine.

"Date?" He raised an eyebrow.

"You know what I mean." I rolled my eyes.

"We had a lot of fun last night, or at least I did, and I thought 'why not take Mikey for breakfast?' This making sense now?" He chuckled.

I nodded. "Alright." I laughed.

"Why do you want to know why I wanted you to join me for breakfast so bad so bad?" He questioned.

"Because you woke me up so goddamn early, I feel like I have the right to ask these things." I told him.

"Fair enough." He shrugged.

We talked and laughed and ate our breakfast. By the time we got back to the bus, everyone else was already awake. I felt a ping of sadness when I saw Jeremy and Danielle on the couch in the front lounge, Danielle's feet in Jeremy's lap, laughing and talking and flirting it up. Hmph.

"I'm not feeling well, Neil. Breakfast isn't quite sitting right. I think I'm going to go lay down for a bit." I said to Neil.

"Alright. Can I get you anything?" He pressed a hand to my forehead. "You feel kinda warm. Do you want a cold bottle of water?"

"Yeah. Please. Thanks, Neil." I smiled. Neil grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge next to him and handed it to me.

"Do you want your sweater back? I know it comforts you when you're upset, I don't know if you want it now." He offered, following me to the bunk area.

"No, Neil. I'm good thank you. I've got yours." I smiled at him. I was still wearing his sweater from last night.

"Okay. Let me know if I can get you anything." He smiled back. He pulled me into a hug and softly kissed the side of my head. "Get some rest so we can hang out tonight."

"Alright Neil." I climbed into my bunk and curled up in my blanket. I felt fine. I just wanted to be alone. I felt like a hormonal teenager with the way he was affecting me. Maybe sleep would help.

I ended up falling asleep. I felt so stupid when I woke up and remembered that I'd dreamt of Jeremy. I wanted to forget it, but I couldn't.

When I woke up, everyone else was awake. It was 4 pm and we were on our way to the next location. We had about 6 hours to go. I found Neil in the back lounge, watching Josh and Kevin play a video game.
