Gabe's POV

The walker's outside wouldn't stop coming, which seemed awfully suspicious. After Kai and Sarah built those plywood walls, not many should have been able to get through, let alone get up the mountain. I knew that something strange was happening. As Swetha made her way out to where I was standing, I grabbed a biter's body and pulled it away from the rest of the defenders. I sliced open it's abdomen, gaining myself access to it's intestines. I lathered myself in the disgusting remains and walked into the horde.

Some walkers glared at me for a long while, but each and every one of them continued towards my group. I made my way to where I could tell the walkers were spilling out of. A broken part of the makeshift fence was demolished. A climbed through the gap in the barricade and kept maneuvering to the walker's point of origin, which I discovered to be two semi truck trailers. The last of the infected beasts were getting out of the trailers once I was there. I needed to investigate this, but I first had to fix the fence. A car sat next to one of the trailers. After all of the abominations had scattered through the fence, I opened the door, shifted the vehicle into neutral, and waltzed to the rear of the vehicle. I used all of my strength to push the car towards the opening. After about 5 minutes of pushing, I finally positioned the car in front of the barricade, blocking any intruders.

The semi trailers had the name 'Cara' tagged onto the outer walls. I would have searched around more if I didn't have to help my squad from the threat that had use for their guns.

I jumped over the fence and sprinted towards the lodge to find the squad helping an injured-looking Macie inside and away from the people in black. There were many of them and I could tell that we were outnumbered. Those people followed ours inside, but I could see Gavin supporting someone with his shoulder out the back entrance. I waved him over, and he came. He set the body of Kai in the snow, who began to talk.

"As the gunshots started, I knew that a threat was coming, so I asked him to help me outside after he gave me my medicine. We need to do something or else everyone will die. They brought in hostages, most of them being kids that were younger than us. In case of emergency, I left some hunting rifles out here somewhere by the fences."

Sure enough, three rifles lay against the plywood a little ways away. I quickly grabbed them. I gave one to Kai, one to Gavin, and I kept one for myself.

"I don't know how to use this," Gavin said.

"Just line the person's head up with the dot in the scope, then squeeze the trigger," I explained.

"We go to the points where we have views of the lobby through windows. We snipe out everyone through those windows until every enemy is dead. Once the first bunch are down, I expect that the others in there will help fight them all off," I planned. Gavin stayed at that spot for his vantage point, and I took Kai to his. He wished me good luck as I went to mine. I played in the snow on my stomach. I looked down the scope of my gun to find a leader speaking with a bunch of children by her side. The strange part was, the woman was sitting on a yoga ball. I figured that I shouldn't waste anymore time.

I spotted another person in black next to the nearest window. The person looked male. He surveyed the area outside the window until he saw me. He pulled out a larger sniper rifle, and I knew that I had to take my shot.
