Coming back from the studio, we were joking around as usual and teasing each other. Leo, of course, was ignoring us and listening to his music. It seemed like a normal day, but this time we knew that Gina would be there when we got back.
I didn't know why, but I was excited to know how her shopping trip turned out. I do hope that she didn't buy too much expensive stuff, though. That would really take a toll on our paychecks...
But anyway. When we got to the familiar part of town where our dorms were, we decided to get ourselves a treat and go grocery shopping for something nice to make when we got home. I didn't think Gina could cook, though. She didn't even know what a microwave or a fridge was, for goodness sake.
"Hey, we should get some spring onions for Leo." Hongbin whispered in my ear discreetly, elbowing my side and jabbing his thumb behind him. I turned around and saw Leo sneaking longing glances at the long green stalks of onion.
The onion was really expensive, and it was a treat; we rarely ever got it, since our paychecks weren't that big. I looked between the shopping cart, which was full of things and would probably cost a lot, and the already expensive spring onions. I sighed and threw a couple in the cart.
Leo looked at me, and his eyes showed surprise. "Don't worry, hyung, its on me." I told him with a goofy smile, and Leo just gave me a look and turned away. But I knew that he was thankful.
"That was the first time I've seen Ken do something nice for anyone." Hyuk said, and I playfully chopped his neck. "Yah! What's that supposed to mean?" I complained in an ajhumma voice, and everyone started to laugh. Leo was the only one who stayed stoic, earbuds in his ears and flipping through his playlist nonchalantly.
The older women looked at me in a disapproving manner, but I didn't care as long as I was with my band members. They were definitely the best members anyone could ask for. (well... maybe Leo... just kidding. Leo is a cool guy, too!)
"Your total will be 100,550 won." The cashier girl said in a soft voice. It seemed like a miracle that I could hear her over the hustle and bustle of the supermarket.
After giving her the money, my wallet felt emptier. But my heart was just as light as we got to the dorms.
"Guys! We're home!" I shouted, making a ruckus on purpose so they knew it was me and the others.
"Welcome home, Ken!" N sang happily.
"Hi hyung!" Ravi said in a bored tone. That guy will always sound bored...
"Hello, Oppa..." What? Oppa?
My eyes shifted over to a girl with dark hair past her shoulders with bangs and a couple of red streaks in it. Her skin was a cream white and her eyes were green-grey. N and Ravi looked like they were about to crack up at my clulessness. "Who's that?"
N and Ravi busted out laughing while the girl raised a brow at me. "You've got to be kidding me. How many girls can possibly circulate through your dorm in a given day?" She asked incredulously, and I immediately knew the snarky sarcasm that was only characteristic to... Gina.
"GINA???" We all chorused together, except for Leo, who looked pretty amused by the whole thing. Gina shook her head chuckled breathlessly. "I think I owe Minji one. She made me pretty beyond recognition."
"Who said you were pretty?" Ravi shot back, making her glare at him.
"I did." She retorted, and he snorted. "That was the worst comeback that I have ever witnessed in my whole life." He said. N just looked on and sighed.
