"You may be dismissed. Please walk down the east hallway. Separate into the boys living areas and the girls living areas, and remain in there until dinner." Says a lady over the intercom. The voice sounds familiar, and I recognize it as Penelope, the secretary. I walk into the girls living space and sit on a squashy armchair, where I see the girl that I was seated with in the auditorium. She was alone, so I went and sat with her. "Hi." I said. "Hello." Said Amelia, twirling her brown hair in her fingers. She was wearing a flannel shirt, skinny jeans, and converse. "Um.. Where are you from?" I said, picking up a book . The title was Quidditch Through the Ages. "Tennessee, you?"
"New York." I said. " Must've been a long drive all the way from there to here." Said Amelia. Camp Clearwater is in Ohio. " it only took a couple of hours. We flew." "Fancy." We sat in silence until the same lady from before over the intercom said: " Dinner is served. Please walk down the hallway and exit the building. Make your way to the shelter, and await further instruction." We shuffled outside the building into the cool air. As we walked towards the shelter,
I took in my surroundings. A lake, trees, trees, and more trees were all I could see for a while before a little shelter appeared. It looked nice enough, with fans and lots of picnic tables, which were blue. There was a grill nearby, and Mr. Moriarty was cooking cheeseburgers and hotdogs. "Hey campers! Welcome to the shelter. This is where all your meals will be served. Breakfast, lunch and dinner!" I sighed. I didn't like the outdoors, and Amelia didn't look like she did either because she rolled her eyes so far back into her head that I was surprised they didn't get stuck that way. "Don't look distraught! Only your meals and some activities will be outside! Most of your activities will be academical and inside the main building." That made me feel better. Amelia didn't look so convinced. Amelia and I sat down at a table at the end of the shelter by ourselves, because everyone else seemed to know each other, and was too busy catching up to pay any attention to us. That didn't bother me so much. After we ate, we walked back to the building, where we slept in the dormitory until morning. It was time to start camp.
