The next day, I noticed that things at Camp Clearwater started to change. We were accompanied by teachers to every class. Usually, we went by ourselves. Also, they have installed a large fence around the perimeter of the property. Are they keeping something out, or are they keeping us in? I asked myself these questions as we were accompanied by a rather scary man to our classes. I decided not to ponder on it too much because my main focus was the girl, who we've decided to call Penny for the time being. After the torture that was geometry class, it was time for our break. Andy, Spencer, Amelia and I have been meeting up in a back table in the lunchroom so we could talk about what we should do to get her out. Andy suggested that we get her out and then we all leave and make for the nearest town and tell them what we know. I reminded him about the fence and he said that we can climb. There was no barbed wire at the top of the fence so that was possible. We all decided to do this: In a couple of days time, we would break out Penny. Then, we would steal as much as we could from the lunchrooms and pack our bags. We would leave, and take her to the nearest police station and hopefully our parents would come and get us. I was worried about that part. My parents were all the way in Cincinnati living it up in a classy hotel, and I doubted that they would come all the way back after only a month to get me. Camp Clearwater is in a remote wood on the outside of the Dean State Forest. Hunters aren't allowed on our property, so we don't see any other people that ourselves. "Are you okay, Alice?" Said Andy. He noticed that I was staring off into space. I have a problem with that. I stare at people and things for too long. " Yeah, I'm totally fine. I'm just a little bit overwhelmed that in three days we are going to break out of camp to save a girl we don't even know. " Spence frowned. He seemed to realize as well that this is very dangerous. "Why do we even have to leave? Why can't we just use the front desks phone, say we're calling our parents, actually call the police and get her out? That seems a lot more safe than breaking out and potentially getting lost in the forest!" Asked Spencer. We all pondered this. Everyone wanted to leave, but we all know that it's too dangerous. "Let's do that. Maybe, the police will make us all leave so they can investigate more. Spences idea seems to be more safe than ours." Said Amelia, writing all this down on a notepad. "You guys can show them the video that you recorded. " I said, nodding to Andy and Spencer. " I wonder what she's doing right now... " Said Amelia.
None of us could possibly know
What she was doing and what pain she was going through. We just hoped it would end. Very, very soon.
