"I'm homeee!" Carl shouted as he slammed the front door behind him.

"Brobber!" Judith exclaimed, sliding off the couch and taking off toward her brother who held his arms out to her for a warm welcoming hug.

They held each other close, and Carl even spun her around. He's been gone a week and Judith has been miserable without his spoiling or constant teasing everyday.. and honestly, I have too.

He placed her down and she anxiously pulled at his leg. Carl began to take off his back pack and his shoes and then eventually joined me on the living room couch, where I sat, re-twisting my locks.

"I missed you." I smiled

"I missed you too." he sighed of relief

"How was it out there?"

He leaned back in the seat and stared off for while, thinking about what I asked while absentmindedly biting his lip.

"It was blood rushing, fun even."

"Blood rushing and fun? Is that it? You were gone for a week." I laughed

"Yeah I know.. But oh! I found dad something for father's day." He smiled, reaching deep into his coat pocket and pulling out a small black cassette tape.

"What is it?" I asked, confoundedly.

"Dolly Parton."

Ah, Rick loves him some good ole country music & I remember him telling me he loved Dolly since he was an itty bitty boy.

"He's gonna love it.. But, father's day is near?" I asked cluelessly

"It's in 2 days."

"Ah.." I nodded awkwardly. I can't believe I forgot when father's day is... I'm such a great mother and wife.. Wow.

"Where is he anyway?" Carl asked, stuffing the tape back into his pocket.

"He's over Abraham's."

"Oh, cool.. How are they? Abe, Sasha and G?" he asked

Last time I saw them was about 2 days ago, and they were all fine. All happy and joyous, not a care in the world -- enjoying family before it's too late.
But I haven't been over there since then, I haven't been anywhere. I just don't feel like getting up anymore.

"Good." I answered finally

He nodded and ran his hand over his face, "God, I'm so tired."

I stopped twisting my hair for a moment and stared at his pale face. Judith clung onto his arm so he was stuck in that position.

"Are you hungry, thirsty?" I asked,  worriedly.

"I could use some water."

I quickly hopped up to my son's request but I almost fell, I tried to catch my balance but my head spun and I couldn't catch my breath, I began to stumble but Carl didn't realize because his eyes were still closed..

And then I hit the floor. I felt like giving up, I was losing breath and everything in my stomach turned upside down.

"MOM!" Carl shouted, joining me by my side.

"Carl I'm gonna throw up." I mumured, gagging between words.

"Wait a sec."
He ran into the kitchen and grabbed the trashcan, ran back and placed it in front of me.
