The moon smiled through the window in Hoseok's bedroom letting some moonlight in. It landed on peacefully sleeping boy's face slightly interrupting his sweet dream. Hoseok groaned and rubbed his nose turning on the other side. He didn't even realize that throughout the whole evening he ended up sleeping on the floor with no blanket, pillows or sheets in general. It was around 4am right now and Nayon just sweetly smiled watching over her brother's roomate.
Jin was sitting next to her on the couch with a cup of hot tea. Silently they spoke to one another trying not to wake up their drained out friend, after all Hoseok had to go to work tomorrow. At first Jin did give it a try and did his best to get Hoseok to bed, but after realising that he will not be able to do that even with Nayon's help he left him on the floor hoping it won't cause too much to a backache next morning.
Jin was grinning while lost in his mind. He went over and over the conversation he had with Nayon and Hoseok. It seemed as if he could retell every detail, yet he couldn't remember the thing. The atmosphere was getting to him and the guy just couldn't concentrate. All kind of thoughts were coming to his head. What if NamJoon comes home now? What do I say to him? How do I act?
Jin suddenly felt being shaken by someone on the shoulder. It was Nayon. 'Hey, you're alright oppa?' Her eyes were full of concern.
'Yeah, I'm gonna go to a bathroom. Excuse me for a moment,' he put down his mug on a coffee table and carefully stepped over sleeping Hoseok.Jin left the room and Nayon appeared in total silence. It was quiet before, they weren't talking so Hoseok could get some rest, but now this particular silence felt empty. It was cold and unwelcoming. Jin's scent disappeared with him and something stung Nayon's heart. They spent the whole evening talking, but didn't do much catching up. The main topic was her brother. She wasn't bothered by that as long as she got to be with Jin, her heart would still skip beats looking at him that little crush didn't go away, instead it grew big and strong... and wild.
She wasn't bothered by the topic until she noticed how Jin's eye would lit up whenever he would hear NamJoon's name. He would sit up straight, look around running fingers through his hair like he expected NamJoon to pop out from the corner. His eye would start to twitch and he'd blink so much Nayon wanted to ask if he was okay. But even she wasn't.
Nayon listened carefully, but she didn't hear bathroom's door being opened. The only two rooms that Jin could get to without opening door was kitchen and NamJoon's chamber, he left door open for ventilation. Chills ran down Nayon's spine and she got up from the couch.
Meanwhile SeokJin entered NamJoon's room. He looked around once, but upon coming to this place he immediately sensed it being sunk with Namjoon's aura and Jin shivered.
'Ahh NamJonnie.'
Jin brushed his fingers against the walls of NamJoon's room, he looked around again. It was dark, everything hid in shadows. However Jin wasn't scared, nor did he hesitate. He crossed his legs and sat down on the floor in the middle of the chamber looking out the window where the moon was smiling. The same moon that NamJoon was supposed to see in the gas station if only he looked out the window. Jin sighed.
'Kim SeokJin what is happening with you?' He asked himself silently. 'What are you doing?' He muttered and shook. After a moment he formed his hand into a fist and looked up determined 'I never got a chance to say this NamJoonie...' he began with his voice echoing in an empty room. '... I always called you my friend. And you were one! But... the first time I saw you, I tripped over you stare, oh why is this so hard?' Jin bit his lip 'I tripped over your stare and fell in love NamJoonnie,' Jin blushed in darkness 'maybe it's my last chance to say this.'
He let the last words twirl around the room longer then fly out the window into the night's sky bumping into the glass few times before freeing themselves. Jin felt sudden relief in his chest. Even if NamJoon couldn't hear him the older knew that he had got a big heavy weight off his heart. He smiled to the darkness.
'I know I can trust you NamJoon, my friend. I haven't told them yet,' Jin said referring to Nayon and Hoseok 'but I can tell you. I'm not scared to tell you,' he took a deep breath. 'I chose NamJoonnie, I have finally decided. I guess... this is my goodbye.'
Behind the door a dark figure cringed. Nayon stepped away from it before Jin was able to come out. She rushed to Hoseok's room so Jin wouldn't catch her spying on him. A tear sparkled in the moonlight and Nayon quickly reached out to wipe it off, to her surprise Hoseok was standing in his room fully awake and he immediately noticed the tear. Boy frowned.
'What's wrong Nayon-ah?!' He dashed to her 'are you hurt?'
'No worries oppa, just stubbed my toe,' she lied to him grinning, Hoseok nodded. Oh if only a broken heart hurt as much as a stubbed toe, Nayon thought. But it hurt way more.
