Robin and Regina both gave their children excited looks as they finished their morning breakfast before school.

"Boys, we have something we have to discuss with you." Robin said, putting his arm around his fiancé. "We're going to go to the hospital while you're both at school, and we're going to find out if the baby will be a boy or a girl."

It only took a few seconds for both Henry and Roland's faces to light up with an anticipated smile. "Really?!"

Regina smiled. "Yes really. We'll tell you the news after you get back home. David will pick you up from school if the appointment ends up taking longer than we think it will."

"Awh, Mom, do we have to go to school?" Henry pouted, "I wanna know if we'll have a little brother or a little sister!"

His parents both rolled their eyes at the same time. "You already missed one day this week; you don't need to miss any more."

"Do you two want to make a guess though?" Robin offered, "there's a fifty fifty chance you could be right."

Their twelve year old immediately had an answer. "A boy," he told them, as if it was obvious.

"What about you Roland?"

"Boy!" He piped, following his brother's example.

Regina raised an eyebrow towards Robin, who simply shrugged in response.

"Doesn't matter really, as long as he or she is healthy."

"Lame answer," she said sarcastically, "well I for one would like if it were a girl. It's hard being the only one!"

She then noticed how late it was. "You guys have to get going- walk fast to the bus stop. Henry, hold his hand when you get to the crosswalk and get him to his classroom, alright?"

The boy nodded, grabbing his backpack and opening the door. He was more than anxious to know what gender his new sibling would be.

"We should get going, too." Regina said, grabbing her keys. Robin took her hand in his and pulled her closer to his body.

"Are you nervous at all?" He asked, his voice tender and considerate.

Regina didn't know what to say. Of course she was nervous; the factor that would determine the rest of their lives was within a few minutes of being reached.

"You're with me now, so everything will be okay." She said, breaking into a small smile.

Robin slowly moved in closer, eliminating all the space between them. His breath was hot against her skin, making her heart flutter inside.

"Going down to the lake with you was the best day of my life," he whispered in her earlobe, his hands lightly brushing over her stomach.

Her breath caught in her throat as she let out a soft hum in response. Regina didn't know what to say, or what to do, for that matter. She was a mess of emotions, mostly because she had gone four months without being touched by his strong, caring hands.

"I love you," she finally managed to say, feeling like an idiotic mess inside. The old Regina who could manage her emotions was long gone, replaced by terribly imbalanced hormones and a mind clouded by love.

"Words cannot describe how much I love you," Robin countered, drawing out his words for emphasis.

Regina forced herself to break away from his glance to check the time again.

"Seriously, we're going to be late!"

"Are we going to take that car contraption of yours?" He asked, knowing the answer was probably going to be yes.
