"Welcome everyone! Congrats on making it to the second phase!!" Squealed woman with cyan blue hair tied up at the top of her head like a pencil.

All of the applicants were standing on a raised cliff that at the bottom was a blue ocean whom's waves were wild. The woman was standing dangerously close to the edge as well.

"For your second task," she explained, "you all," she pointed at the applicants, "will be going underwater!" She squealed happily.

The whole group blinked at her.

"For what?!" One of them yelled.

"For this!" She rolled down multiple papers that had odd water creatures on it.

"You all are going underwater to capture these beautiful creatures! Alive is preferred. If you die, well that's how it is. If you end up killing the creature you are trying to capture, you'll lose points."

"There's a point system?" A voice called out.

"Yes! The higher level creatures you get and the more of them, the more points! Now! Be careful, these creatures are dangerous! This little guy here," she pointed at one of the pictures and the creature looked like a tiny whale in the shape of a ball, "he's harmless. The mothers though," another picture of a large toothy looking whale type creature, "will do much to protect their kin. But the mothers are also on the list for you to catch." She put her hands on her hips smiling brightly.

"The name's Lisa by the way! As your examiner for the second phase I'll be giving off points based on how you proceed with the situation. The more points the better your score and rank will be. And again, if you kill your animal, it will cost you points."

"Better than our lives!" One of the applicants yelled.

"If you decide to not partake in this exercise at all, you forfeit, thus meaning you fail and will have to retake the exam next year." Lisa explain a tinge of annoyance added to her voice.

"How will we capture them? Or even bring them up here?" A girl with short and very dark blue hair asked among the applicants.

"As I said you may use any means necessary. Once you have captured your creature, just bring em up to the shore, and we'll know you brought em." Lisa explained.

"Aaaaand!!!" She raised her arm, "GO!" She shouted throwing her arm down. Some of the participants ran to the edge stopping while some fell or jumped into the sparkling blue water. I, being on of the few who had jumped willingly, fell head first with my body straight into the water like a bullet shooting through a wall of jello. I felt the bandage that the doctors up in the airship had wrapped in my wound after cleaning and tending to it soak up with water.

The water is much calmer down here than up there. It was warm and silent except for the sound of bubbles and tiny creatures. It was a dark blue but a calming and soft sight since the light from the sun had reflected down into it. The light shone underwater that the bottom was visible, yet in certain areas through some reefs were dark trenches.

'I'm sure one of the beasts should be in there.' I said to myself. There were other applicants in the water with their heads above the surface are swimming around sticking close to the light.

Looking back down at the dark trenches, I thought to avoid them to and stuck to the light. At least for now so I could find other creatures.

It wasn't too long till one of the small ball whale creatures came swimming. It was actually kind of cute. It's flat tail was flapping behind it as if struggling to swim by himself. I swam over to it, getting closer realizing it had some sort of purple string stuck to its tail. I held the creature gently and it fidgeted in my arms. When I removed the odd substance the little creature looked at me with its big round eyes and dug its face into my shoulder as if to thank me. I pet its tail happily. I know I had to capture it but just the thought of a small fragile thing.. It made me feel odd and warm in my heart. I began swimming and it stayed close to me as if it didn't want to leave me.
