It's been about two months since Chrollo had been gone from the Phantom Troupe, and two months since the whole Yorknew event. I have no idea where Hisoka was. Probably chasing down Chrollo; apparently, Kurapika had used his power to put a chain around Chrollo's heart. He couldn't talk to Troupe members or use Nen. That's why Hisoka had no interest in fighting someone who couldn't use Nen. So he was looking for a Nen purger to get rid of Kurapika's chain and power that bounded Chrollo. I had no interest in stopping Hisoka from getting rid of what Kurapika had worked so hard for. Right now, Hisoka could be anywhere. So could the Troupe and Chrollo.

I spent the first few weeks getting Ace used to traveling around with me, and we were now in Zaban City. I spent our time training her and noticed the change in her Nen. She was more capable of using her ability a bit better now. Her ability still had many flaws, as she isn't used to using it, and she still needed to work on the basics of Nen. Her Zetsu was inefficient, her Hatsu was very raw, because of her being inexperienced, her Ren was decent, and her Ten was actually impressive.

Most likely, when I left her at Heavens Arena with Zushi and his master, (who she told me was named 'Wing') must have focused on meditating and strengthening their defense, their Ten. It was pretty good. Since she practiced her Ten sufficiently, her Ren was decent as well. The show of her aura was good but nothing compared to what she'd need of she wanted to continue to stay alongside me. Her Zetsu wasn't too good. Her ability to suppress her aura and erase her presence to hide was shaky, which was bad since she'd need to hide a lot. And her Hatsu ability which she chose to be the capability to use ice in her favor, was still a need of improvement. But I'd shape her up.

"Senpai! Come look here!" Ace's voice stopped my thoughts and I looked up from the pavement to see her at the window of a store with her face pressed against it. I had my hands in my pockets as I walked over to her.

"What? What is it?" I had gotten used to her calling me 'Senpai' and at some points I would still shout at her for it but she continued with it. I still refused to call her 'Kohai' though. As i got closer to the window, I saw she was looking into a candy store. I bent down to get a better look at the delicacies at the front and squinted my eyes at the sight of it and glanced at her.

"A candy shop?" I asked.

"Yeah! Let's get some!" Ace said excitedly. I frowned at her excitement and raised my body, standing up straight again.

"Again you're 15 right? Isn't that a bit childish?" Ace frowned at my statement and grinned. She threw up a peace sign and winked.

"Cmon! You're never too old for candy!" She said and ran inside the shop.

"I-I oh.." I sighed and held out an outstretched hand that was meant to grab her but she was already inside. I put my hand back in my pocket and walked inside.

'Actually you can get too old but.. Whatever.' That was the first time I had given up trying to make an explanation of a sort. I walked in the shop that had people and machines, creating chocolate, cotton candy, licorice, all sorts of delicacies.

The scent of chocolate was thick and there was a faint fragrance of just sweet sugar itself. It wasn't sickening... It was actually extremely pleasant. The aroma made my mouth water and I swallowed pursing my lips. I looked around at the sweets in a look of shock. The warmth I felt while smelling the scent was familiar. I remembered at a younger age, I felt similar to this. I closed my eyes softly and tried to recall the memory.

When I was younger, probably about 12, I wanted to visit the outside village. The Elder and the others knew I was stronger than the other kids. I took the test outside and discovered a sweet shop that it's scent lured me into. We had candies in the village but being inside a shop of them felt amazing. I remembered eating a few sweets there and buying the things needed for the test. I did it all without my scarlet eyes activating, and I went back to the village with the capability to leave as I pleased. Yet I stayed to watch how things were going. I only left because of the attack...
