Chap. 14 The X Unlucky X Number

"Wait hold on you can't leave yet!" Ace called out to me as I was packing my stuff.

"Ace look I told you, I have some work to be done. You should stay at a hotel, I can pay. Or go back to your village." When I snapped back, Ave looked at me with a face of hurt. That face made me feel bad but i refuse to show it.

"Look, Ace, you are not coming. We've known each other for like a month or two!"

"Technically 2 years!" She squeaked.

"When we met yes." I sighed as I grabbed a small bag and its strap went around my shoulder. I grabbed my wooden swords from the chair and Ace grabbed a part of it.

"Senpai!" She yelled as stared at me. Her eyes had a spark of fire that seemed to glow. She was more pissed than she was giving off.

"Look one, still not your Senpai. Two, unless you're planning on buying some expensive artifacts at an auction that's meant for under dwellers- Mafia and such- then be my guest. If not, don't get in my way." I yanked the swords from her and his them in my clothes. I opened the door and walked out knowing Ace was still following me.

"Ace go away."

"No."

"Ace..." My voice became threatening as I turned halfway so that she could see only of my eyes.

**3rd person POV**

When Scarlet turned her face halfway towards Ace, her eyes were a dim red. There was still brown around it as she tried to keep her composure. Every time she looked at Ace there was a sense of protection for her, and a flashback of the two boys she couldn't place a face or name to. Scarlet didn't know her eyes were red and she turned back around to the elevator, leaving a heartbroken Ace behind her in disbelief.

"Don't leave..." Ace said in barely a whisper holding in tears. She shut her eyes and ran after Scarlet.

"Senpai wait! What do I do while you're gone?!" She shouted.

Scarlet sighed and rubbed her temples im annoyance and tire of the conversation.

"Stay at a hotel. Make some friends. Do something! Go talk to Gon and Killua-"

"They left!"

"Oh yeah... Well hey. There's this boy that's Gon and Killua's friend. I noticed him fighting and he fought Killua."

"Ohh?? He fought Killua?"

"Yes but this was before Gon and Killua got to the 200's of the floors. Their new master is this boy's master. Is name was... Uhh... Zucchini... Zunni.. Zuchi-Zushi! That was his name! Zushi"

**Scarlet's POV**

Ace looked at me like I was an idiot.

"Really Senpai? Zucchini?? Really?"

I stared at her and pursed my lips.

"Ok I'm not your Senpai shut up. Just, look for him in the meantime! Maybe if you're a little stronger when I get back we'll talk more." The elevator doors opened into the clean crowded lobby of Heaven's Arena. I walked outside with Ace still following.

"Well," I was at the street. "It's actually been alright with you. But I need you to stay here." I made sure Ace understood and I turned. I couldn't help myself, it was a message I hoped she understood and I didn't need to say it but.. I had to. As I turned and got ready to leave, I said it.
