I was born in August, under the rising sun.
It was around 5 am in the morning when my mom was rushed to the med wing of our castle.
-I'm 4 years old-
I wake up, its my 4th birthday. I throw the sheets off and jump down from my bed. I look at my nurse maid, Natalie, her bright brown eyes complimenting her smile.
"It's my birthday!" I cry happily, dancing around my room.
"I know princess!" She smiles, basking in my joy.
I go over to the door and rush over to my sister's room. I knock on her door several times. I wait....and wait.
"Princess? Princess Yang is with His Majesty Fain in the training center." A guard informs, having come over from the noise I was making.
"Thank you!" I yell as I race to the stairs. I fly down the stairs as fast as my little feet could take me. Natalie follows, chuckling.
I near the training center, breathing hard. I throw open the doors and I look around for my bigger sister.
She's in the center, surrounded by other pack members. Daddy has a proud look on his face as he watches her take down a brown haired man quickly.
All eyes turn to me as I walk closer, nearing them. Natalie puts a hand on my shoulder.
"Hello Amythyst? What do you want." Fain's eyes look at me, the proud glint falling. I was too young of course to realize the hate he felt. I was in my own ignorant bliss.
Yang looks at me, her blue eyes warm. She's 8 years old now, 4 years apart.
"Happy Birthday sis." Yang says, walking over hugging me.
I squeal and hug back, not caring that daddy hadn't wished me one as well.
"You should check the kitchen. Maybe theirs a treat in there?" Yang winks playfully at me. I smile, thank her and daddy then make my way swiftly to the kitchens.
I find a surprise of course, a mini cupcake, pink frosted. I smile happily.
-I'm 6 now-Daddy has brought me on one his missions finally! I look up at him as we travel.
"What do I do daddy?" I ask, eager. He doesn't look at me but I know he's talking to me.
"You have to get them to trust you. You have to get them to me. Act cute, it'll persuade them. You can do this for me can't you?" Fain's eyes look down at me.
I nod, eager to seem acceptable in my fathers cold, maroon eyes.
He points to a group of wolves. "Now look. The man has bright white hair and green eyes. He's tall. Get him ok?" He pats my head then gives me a small push forward.
He disappears into the shadows. Even though I cant see him, I know daddy is watching. I watch as the man walks off, probably to go home.
I adjust my outfit then moisten my eyes so I looked sad and crying.
I approach him, steady and unnerving.
"E-excuse me S-sir!" I cry out, my emerald eyes shimmering with unshed tears.
He looks startled then kneels down.
"What's the matter Little One? Where are your parents?" He asks, giving me a tissue.
"M-my daddy is hurt. P-please help him!" I cry, letting the tears flow. His gaze softens. Perfect!
I get up and walk towards the way I came from. He follows. I cough, the sign has been put out.
