ShadowWolves and I

Yang and I are outside of my bedroom.

"This is important ok Amythyst? We must reconnect an allegiance with them and tonight is the night to do so. Don't do anything bad and just be pleasant ok? Remember the information I gave you to you?" I nod and she hands me a bundle of cloth.

"This is your dress. Wear some darker make up and remember the deathwolf symbol on your arm." She turns and leaves. I sigh and go into my room. I put down the dress and go to visit Cadence. She already knows about the symbol placing, I suppose because Yang told her.

I sit in the seat in her room while I wait for her to get the supplies. She comes back, and tells me about the symbol. Its traditionally on the upper arm so,as tradition goes, I decide on it being on my upper left arm. Cadence warns that it'll hurt and I know that I can't not have it.

She gets a sharp pencil looking object, it reminds me of a scapel. She wipes my arm off with an anti-bacteria cloth. She sterilizes the pencil thing and then starts drawing along my skin. It gives off a sharp hot pain then feels icy numb. This continues for awhile.

Once she's done, she lets me see the mark. It looks like a tattoo, though it's easily removed says Cadence. It's beautifully drawn, no blemishes or anything. I thank her and leave to get ready.

*I go to hwp and get ready in my private house*

I arrive at the designated world, being greeted by guards from both Deathwolf and Shadowwolf. The Deathwolf guards are decked in black and gold armor, our colors. The Shadowwolves have black and grey armor.

Yang waves me over, and I'm wary of the absence of the supposed King and Prince. Jay is here too, officially by Yangs side.

My Crown^

"Where are they?" I ask Yang. Adjusting the crown on my head. "They'll be arriving soon. Remember your manners." She says and I fight the urge to scoff. I reply with a simple 'of course.'

It's not long after we finish out conversation, when a portal opens and the shadowwolf guards snap to attention. A breeze of ridged Winter air escapes through. Out steps a tall man in a dark grey suit, he seems to be in his 30's. A younger man, around my age it seems, steps out, adorned in a black suit and tie. He and the other man share similar features, ashy grey-black hair and pale skin. The older man has vibrant blue-grey eyes while the younger one has steely silver ones. A woman steps out, shes in a long grey dress that has jewels running up the sides and has a fish tail. She shares the same features with the rest of them, cept her eyes are a light red color.

"Hello your Majesties." The older man bows and so does his son. The lady does a  curtsy. We copy their actions.

"Welcome King Oberon, Queen Mab, and Prince Ash." Yang says, authority in her voice. Prince Ash looks at me and I return his slightly curious gaze. A distant memory appears in my head but I brush it away.

Yang and Jay start talking with the other queen and king and I'm standing here awkwardly, unsure of whether I should start a conversation or not. Prince Ash beats me to it and approaches me. Cold seems to radiate off him. He offers me a smile and I'm unsure of whether it is pleasant or makes a shiver run up my spine.

"Hello... Princess Amythyst is it?" He asks and I nod. "What an unusual name you possess." He inquires.

"I cant say your name is too common either." I shoot back with a playful tone. He smiles, flashing a mouth of pearly whites.

I look again at my sister and then back at the Prince.

"What relation is yours and Noahs?" I ask, deciding that if I'm going to have to make conversation, it minus as well be useful.

"Ah. He's my cousin. My father was his uncle. It's tragic really how they died. My father and uncle were close." He says with a hint of sorrow in his voice.

"Ah...I'm truly sorry about your uncle..." I say. However I'm not sorry about your cousin.

"What about you? The queen is your sister, no?" He asks, looking from Yang to I, trying to find similarities.

"Yes...we're sisters although as you can see, we don't look much alike." I say, thinking of all the differences between Yang and I.

"Well...I wouldn't say her and you are totally different. You both carry that air of confidence, you both have sort of the same body structure, you're polite and I believe both of you are good leaders." I smile lightly. I have and always will have an uncomfortable feeling whenever I'm compared with Yang.

"Thank you for that.." I look at the clock. "Bored already? Am I not interesting?" He asks, humor lightening the damper mood.

"No...Its just that I'm not quite
familiar with such social meetings." I confess. He nods and doesn't question it.

"Have you any other sibling?" I ask, using the old language speech form. "I have 2 brothers, both older and already with a throne." He says. I nod understanding. Before I can ask their names, he says:
"Prince Rowan and Prince Orion. Rowan is older by a 5th moon." That means Rowan is 5 years older." Prince Ash is 18, Orion is 20, and Rowan is 25.

"What is the difference between the Queen and you?" He asks. He means age.

"I'm 16. My sister is 4 years my senior." Meaning she's 20.

"It's hard to have an older sister? Especially one that is queen?" He asks, and I find our selves walking around their gardens.

"Yeah I do suppose it is hard sometimes, though I understand and we have a pretty good relationship." A flicker of some emotion flashes over his face before disappearing so quick that it might not have even happened.

"What is your element?" He asks, switching the subject. "I have a few. Though I've mastered ice/snow/water, earth, air, shadow, light, and healing." I say, counting them in my head.

"And you?" I ask, switching the subject to him. He looks at the grass thoughtfully before responding. "My main element is ice although I can wield some dark magic." Shadow wolves can't wield as much dark magic as Death Wolves can.

We keep walking, a period of silence leaves me a few minuets to observe the territory. It seems to be winter, a cold chill in the atmosphere. The trees are dull yet full of leaves, the flowers have an icy gleam to them and yet everything looks perfectly normal. It must explain the princes' skin for being so icy.

"What do you think of our territory?" He asks, noticing my interested stare. "Well, judging from the only parts I've seen, it's nice. It has an icy touch to it." I say back. He nods and walks over to a patch of flowers. He picks a lavender colored flower and hands to me. I take it gently from his hand and we continue walking. I hold the flower as we discuss pack relations and our siblings.

Soon, it's almost time to leave, so we walk back. We talk about the future of our packs and what will happen when we both receive the crown. We arrive at our starting point, arms linked like properly so. They seem like they are wrapping up a conversation, probably Yang giving her congratulations. I smile pleasantly at the King and Queen and at my sister. I un link my arm from Prince Ash and my arm burns, despite his cold skin.

"How was your time?" Queen Mab asks, she seems to have a sort of British accent. Her scarlett eyes bear into me. We both respond 'well' and my sister concludes our visit. Our portal opens and I bear one last look at the prince before we depart.

Our guards file in behind us and we head home. We arrive quickly and I excuse myself to change.

I make my way to my room and change out of the dress into some leggings and a t-shirt. Overall, I believe that Ash is a good ruler, much different from his cousin. But, who knows? Only time can tell.

I left some info out due to confidentiality and business that is only ours.
