New Persons POV:

I sigh, stamping another approval form. This takes f*cking forever.

I push aside the letters, done for the day.

I walk out of my office and to the guards room for a daily report.

Blood walks out of the room before I can enter.

He walks to me and bows out of respect. I nod and ask about the report.

"There has been no disturbance with the Night Wolves although, the Shadow Wolves have a new ruler. We have no names currently, but as in tra-"

I cut him off, irritated.

"Yeah yeah, I know. Just plan when a meeting time is possible for both of us." He nods and goes off to the office assigned to him.

Like I have time for those sh*ts.

I walk outside and sigh. I open my black wings and let the breeze ruffle the feathers.

I hear people shouting inside the castle and I  scowl, what does it take to have some peace and f*cking quiet around here?

"Yang?" Comes a familiar voice behind me. I turn around and give Jay, my boyfriend a small smile.

He hugs me gently. I've tried so many times to accept another's physical touch, yet every time I feel a need to pull away.

We pull apart and he gives me a small smile. I return it and he looks up at the sky.

"What happened with today?" He asks with genuine curiosity. He sits down in the grass and I sit down too, not caring about the clothes.

"Just approvals, paper work, studying, practicing, and the daily report from the guards. Even so, I got a headache and came out here. What about you?" I ask.

"Well, you certainly seem busy and as far as I go, just over seeing the new worlds and helping with the apprentices." He informs.

"That's good. I promised Amythyst that she'd be able to run the ceremony for Riptide and his apprentice. Silver." I say, looking up as a flock of geese pass over us.

One of the geese falls down to the ground with a sickening crack. I look at it then back at the sky. 

Jay looks at it then at me with a raised eyebrow.

"Don't worry about it." I say, without a care. Jay shrugs.

I sigh and watch as clouds move with the winds currents.

"There is work to be done before sleep." I say abruptly, standing up swiftly.

" Very well. Shall I see you at dinner?" He asks, knowing that recently I've isolated myself to my room.

I give a brisk nod then head for my office.

-Later After Work Is Done-

I walk down to the dining room, letting out a sigh. I arrive and go to the head of the table. I look down the table and see Amythyst to my right, Jay to my right, Blood next to him, Riptide next to Amythyst and counsel members filling the rest of the table.

I learn about progress with the apprentices as dinner is being solved. I eye the food and wave away platters given to me.

"Something amiss sister?" Amythyst asks, looking at the people carrying dishes away then back at me.

I scowl at her, wishing she wouldn't bring this up again.
