Phoenix POV

"WHAT!?!" I screamed.

"Moving." my mother said slowly, and I blinked.

"NOOOO! I DON'T WANNA MOVE!!!" I pouted like a kid, sitting on the table and crossing my arms, poking my bottom lip out.

"Phoenix Alexandria Flare." my dad scolded me. I sighed.

"Fine... If I have to..." I sighed and scooted off of the table. My bags, which were all on the ground,  taunted me with the realization of this decision. I was leaving Thibodaux, Lousiana and heading to dreaded Milford, Connecticut. I groaned and grabbed my bags, putting them into the back of my mother's Suburban. My sister, Joselyn, looked at me with a reassuring smile. I smiled and hugged her. "I don't wanna move," I mumbled into her shirt.

"I know," she said in her smooth voice. "I don't either." She stroked my hair, which was bright auburn with red, purple and yellow tips. I nodded.

"I liked Thibodaux," I pouted, and she laughed.

"And now you'll like Milford," she said in the same voice, and I scowled. She just laughed again.

"Meh," I replied, hopping into the van. I sat on the right, Joselyn on the other side, and my little brother, Denny, in the middle between us. I pat his head and smiled, then looked to out of the large window at the grey cement, the green hills and blue sky. I was leaving all of this. My friends would miss me. I would miss them. I'm glad we're moving in a way, though, with what's been happening at school. But that's a story for another day.

I closed my eyes and sighed, hearing the rocks in the road fade away and smooth, flat roads follow. Then, I fell asleep.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*Whoever knows how long*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Phoe..."
"Phoenix."
"Well someone has to wake her up."
"NOT ME!"
I jolted awake at the sudden yelling of Denny. I hit my head on the top of the Suburban.
"OW!" I screamed. "What was THAT for!?!" I shouted, glaring at both of them. Denny smiled.
"Good evening," he said in a vampire's accent, and I rolled my eyes.
"We're here!" Joselyn sang, and I sighed. Getting out of the car slowly, my glasses fell off of my face a little. I pushed them back up and grabbed my luggage, looking at the huge house, which was the first thing I noticed. It. Was. HUGE!!!!!!
That house, or castle, could fit maybe... twenty people and they could all live in there! OH MY GOD! THAT HOUSE IS HUGE!!!
"Um... mom..." my eyes were so wide and so was my mouth. "Where could you affore such a big, no, huge, no, GINORMOUS house!?!"
"I saved the money, plus I got a new job, remember?" Oh yea... my mom works as a nurse now. I forgot that....
I walked up to the mansion type house and noticed it had a giant wooden sign. Some of the letters were quite spaced out, so I was confused, but I read it.
"C...E...SA Manor... Mom, who's the Cesas?" I asked her. She shrugged.
"Must be the family that had the house before us." she walked in, telling the others where their rooms were.
"They must have been really rich..." I muttered, walking downstairs to my room in the basement, which I had requested.\.
"WHOA!" I shouted. My room was a white room. Plain. But my mom told me I could do whatever I wanted. She must've remembered how much I loved drawing. I had a bed with white sheets and a bright orange quilt, a medley of red, orange and yellow pillows on it. My stereo, which I had loved, had to stay at the old house, but this stereo was better! So many CDs, and many that I loved!!! I grinned and popped the Fall Out Boy CD in. The first song, my favorite, Alone Together, started blaring, and I started singing and dancing to it.
*********************
After that song, I was grinning. I LOVED this house. But I still miss my friends in Thibodaux. But I love this house. I probably just said that to myself twice, but I DON'T CARE! I took the Fall Out Boy CD after every song was done and I stuck the Justin Timberlake. As the stereo was processing the CD, however, I heard a voice.
"No," it hissed. "I'm going to find the girl tonight." I paused the music as it started and went to where the voices were coming from. It was coming from... the closet under the staircase... Oh I swear, if Harry Potter pops out I'ma scream. I listened, my ear straining to hear a remnant of that voice. Nothing.
"Must be the wind..." I said, starting the music up. I sped up the dancing, then came up with an idea. I rushed into my new closet that was filled with my clothes. "Be prepared for a show, Mom, Dad and siblings!" I shouted, changing into the clothes.
