Jeff POV
I had been pacing for what may have been hours when I remembered something. Laughing Jack had spoke with me just a little time before. Somethign in my head recalled a certain line.
"There's something going on. Phoenix hasn't gone down yet. If you won't do it.. I WILL."
I clenched my fists. This was all Laughing Jack's fault! HE DID THIS! He will pay........
"Uh, Mr.... Jeff?" a doctor asked. My head shot up.
"That's me." I said, walking over.
"She's on heavy medication. We don't know if she'll make it. We're still working on it." My heart dropped at what he had said.
"Thank you Doctor..." I choked out. "Can.. I go... see her?"
"Yea. Room 666." I nodded and ran up the stairs to the room. I opened the door to see Phoenix weakly staring up at the ceiling. When she looked at me, her skin paled. I walked over, and she shrunk down a bit.
"Hi." Phoenix said softly. My heart cracked a little at how weak she was.
I really hope she makes it I thought. Then, my eyes widened when her eyes closed and the heart monitor flat lined.
Doctors rushed in, and one nurse tried to talk to me, but I was too far gone to know, or care for that matter, what she was saying.
She's gone... I repeated those two words in my head over and over as I ran home. I was furious. I was furious at Phoenix for even coming into my life in the first place. If she weren't here, I wouldn't be in this 'love' mess in the first place.
I was also furious at LJ. He just wanted me to suffer. He killed Phoenix, and he knew that I would become like this. He did this on purpose. Phoenix will be avenged, at least. I'll make Laughing Jack pay.
But mostly, I was furious with myself. I didn't have the guts to kill Phoenix the first time I even saw her here. Laughing Jack, I hate to admit, was right. I love Phoenix. Now, I was too late to even find out if she felt the same. I'm an idiot.
I stormed into the mansion, all the way up to Jack's room. I didn't see him, so I was able to snoop. I had to confirm.
I opened many drawers that held assortments of clothes, some candy and bandages. I kept searching, until something glinted in a corner, catching the sunlight. I turned towards it. I saw something, and it was broken. I knelt by the item and felt a sting in my left palm.
"Son of a bitch." I hissed when I saw a tiny piece of glass driven into my hand. Wait, glass? I looked at the item more closely, and I realized they were Phoenix's glasses. They were snapped in half at the bridge, and the lenses shattered to pieces, which led to the glass in my hand.
I picked the metal up and examined the room. For the first time since I got in here, I noticed a bloodied chair with ropes haphazardly lying around it.
I choked. He really did kill her. I... didn't think he would do it...
I backed to the wall and slowly sank down to the ground. I sniffed, looking at where I can picture what had happened to Phoenix. I rubbed my teary, black eyes and put in my earbuds. I clicked through some songs until I found one that I hadn't heard before. Probably one of Sally's songs. To my surprise, it was a good song. I checked it and it said Slipped Away, Avril Lavigne. Hm.
As I listened, I thought of when the heart monitor flat lined. I felt tears on my cheek slide down my face. I clenched my hand around my knife, and I buried my face into my knees, dropping the knife.
I knew it. She was gone.

Laughing Jack POV
I watched as he cried. Yes. I finally snapped him. I made him cry. I knew it. He loved her. He knows it now. And now, he's too late. I casually entered the room, still covered in blood from that hunt. He looked up with rage.
~~~~~~~~~~I have to do this in Jeff's POV sorry!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jeff POV
"YOU!" I screamed, tackling him. "YOU DID THIS!" I grabbed my knife, holding it against his throat. I was trembling with rage. He chuckled.
"Oh, Jeff." he said, pushing me off with his feet. I tumbled away, my head hitting the wall. "Such bad manners. Don't kill me because I killed your lover."
"SHUT UP!" I screamed, trying not to cry. He smirked.
"Aw, are my words getting to you?" he asked in a baby voice. I ignored him, slicing at him. He dodged every swing. "Face it! You just don't wanna live anymore because of Phoenix!"
"SHUT UP LAUGHING JACK! YOU KILLED HER! YOU DID THIS!"
"And I'm proud of it too." he said, smiling. I growled.
"YOU TOOK THE ONE THING I LOVED FROM ME!" I screamed, jabbing at him. He moved, but I caught him in the arm. He growled and threw the knife at me, pinning me against the wall after catching my hoody. In seconds, he was in front of me.
"You should know your place, Jeffery Lee Woods. Don't cross me. Phoenix is dead. You can't bring her back to life. Get. Over. It." he snarled, walking out. I took the knife from the wall, making me drop to the floor. I just curled up, my face buried in my knees again.
