Jeff POV
"So, how was your hunt?" Masky asked as I walked in, and I watched as he, Ben and Hoody were playing Mario Kart on the Wii. I rolled my eyes.
"Horrible!" I grumbled, sitting on the arm of the couch and crossing my arms, watching Ben and Masky fail, leaving Hoody in the lead. "GO HOODY!" I screamed, right in his ear. He screamed as his car flew off the side of the track, and I was laughing so hard I fell off of the couch, landing on my back.
"JEFF!" Hoody growled, glaring at me. "WHAT WAS THAT FOR!?!" I was still laughing, so I couldn't answer him with a smart aleck comment like I normally would. He huffed a sigh out of his nose and turned back, waves of anger rolling off of him as he took up a position in eighth place. I watched again, this time sneaking up behind Ben.
"Don't even think about it, Jeff." Ben said as I got behind him, and I froze. "I'm not going to let you distract me. I'm still trying to get over last time, anyways." he shuddered.
"It wasn't that bad!" I argued, and he scoffed.
"Please, you screamed so loudly in my ear I almost went permanently deaf," he flicked his gaze to me for a second.
"Right... and this is why you are always the over dramatic one, Ben! Just keep being yourself." I pat his head, and he grumbled something under his breath. I smirked and walked upstairs, my annoyance coming back into my head. I opened the door to my room to find Smile lying on my bed, his eyes closed. Aw. How creepy! "Smile." I whispered, whistling shortly. He immediately picked his head up, and he barked once in greetings. I chuckled.
"Where have you been hunting at? It seems you've always failed there." The voice made me freeze.
"Shut up. You know, if your victims were stubborn like mine, I wouldn't be giving you any crap about it!" I snapped, turning to face him. He just grinned, and I cursed myself mentally for letting him get into my head.
"I know," Laughing Jack replied, walking into my room. "But there's something going on, Jeffery-"
"DON'T CALL ME BY MY REAL NAME!" I shouted, throwing my lamp at him. He dodged it and it hit the wall, shattering into many pieces, also, unfortunately, setting the curtain next to my window on fire. I sighed and stamped my foot on the curtain, putting the mini fire out. It strangely reminded me of killing this Phoenix Flare.
"Right. There's something going on. Phoenix hasn't gone down yet. If you won't do it..." he got really close, his face in mine. "I will." I pushed him away.
"Don't go through that trouble. Don't even care about my kills. Just leave me the hell alone," I drug out the word for a moment, and he smirked.
"Touchy much? I mean, you can't kill her. There's an emotional connection. I can see it in your eyes! When I even mention her name, you get a light in your eyes. Face it. You love her."
"LALALALALALALALALALALALALA!" I stuck my fingers in my ears and walked around my room as he talked.
"FACE IT!" he screamed. "YOU CAN'T KILL THIS GIRL FOR THAT REASON!" I froze, took my fingers out my ears, then in a second, I had him pinned to a wall, my hand against his throat.
"Shut up. Shut up, shut up, shut UP!" I screamed. "LIES! ALL LIES!!!!" I pressed harder against his throat. He squirmed, and I smirked. Then scowled angrily again. "You just can't accept the fact that this prey is mine. Not yours. Mine. Im taking my time, cause it's a free country. Leave Phoenix out of this, because she is mine for the kill. Why don't you just go sit in a corner, crying cause you don't have Phoenix as a kill."
"Shut up. You're just too much of a wimp to kill her. I see it. I see everything, Jeff. You should know this." he growled. I was literally trembling with fury as he spoke. I snarled, then took out my knife. I had no choice but to let him go, and by the time I had grabbed my blade, he was gone.
