Hindi ako mapakali habang hinihintay ang pagdating ni Geoffrey rito sa University Park. Panay ang paglinga-linga ko sa paligid, tinitignan kung nariyan na ba siya o wala pa. Bumuntong-hininga ako at umupo muna sa isa sa mga bench dito.

Geoffrey has been nice to me all this time, kaya naman lubos kong pinag-iisipan kung paano ko ba siya tatanggihan sa paraang hindi ko masyadong masasaktan ang damdamin niya.

Being rejected isn't something that one can easily surpass through at a short period of time. I feel bad that I am rejecting Geoffrey, but this is for him, too. Ayaw ko namang umasa pa siya lalo pa't sigurado akong si Wayne lang ang talagang gusto kong maging escort sa debut ko.

I took out my phone from my pocket and turned it on while waiting for Geoffrey to come. Ngumuso ako nang makitang may one unread message ako. I was then surprised when I saw it was from Wayne.

My Admirer:

Where are you?

Slowly, smile formed my lips. I typed a reply to him.

Ako:

Sa puso mo.

My Admirer:

Where did you learn that? It's making my fingers curl, haha.

I chuckled at his short 'haha'. I don't know but I find it cute. Pati ba naman sa mensahe'y maigsi ang pagtawa niya. Umiling-iling ako, hindi maalis ang ngiti sa labi.

I was about to type a reply, when he sent me another one.

My Admirer:

Can I call?

Ako:

I'm about to talk to Geoffrey about the escort thing. Maybe later?

My Admirer:

Okay, later. Call me immediately once you're done talking to him.

I lifted up my head when I heard a knock on the table in front of me. In my surprise, I saw Geoffrey. I shove my phone inside my pocket then greeted him. He only nodded then sat down in front of the bench in front of me.

"Uh... what do you want us to talk about?" he asked then looked away, looking so uneasy.

"You told me that you are willing to be my escort and I really appreciate that, but the thing is... I already know whom I wanted to my escort despite his final say on it. Regardless his answer, I don't think I can have an escort rather than him. I'm sorry, but I don't think you can be my escort, Geoff," I stated.

Hindi nagsalita si Geoffrey. He only took a deep breath then sighed. Pagkuwa'y tinitigan niya ako. Slowly, a small smile formed his lips. He nodded.
