"Oh sorry." I said inaudibly.

"Hi Emily." He said with a small chuckle.

I tugged at the hem of my baggy shirt to fix it, "hello.." I responded, I really want this confrontation to end right now.

"Well I don't wanna get in your way, I'll see you tomorrow." He said and started to walk out the electric doors.

"Wait." I blurted out. He turned back to me and I once again had his attention. I didn't really know how to say what I'm about to say in a nice way.

"Uhm so I heard that you're going hiking with us tomorrow and that's cool and all but are you sure you want to? Like, I know Tay can be pushy sometimes and we tend to walk pretty far." I said, I awaited his answer and held my breath.

"To my surprise he smiled and said, "I don't mind, it'll be fun getting to know you guys."

"You sure?" I asked in a high pitched voice.

"Oh I get it you don't want me to go." He said with a straight face. His friendly demeanor changed quickly to glum.

"You know what never mind, just forget I said anything, I'll see you around." Before he could respond I walked out to the car and drove off.

"You didn't get the cookies again, what the hell."

"I'll go to a different fucking store just chill alright." I snapped at her.

Taylor sat up and turned off the music, "who are you talking to?" She asked with a confused look.

"Sorry, I'm just a little frustrated." I told her pulling out of the parking lot.

I told her about who I ran into and that if he goes on the hike I'm not going.

"You can't be serious. C'mon grow a pair," she rolled her eyes and chuckled, "there is nothing wrong with that guy, he's nice. I don't know why you're acting all weird. Is it because you changed your mind and think he's hot now and you don't wanna catch feelings cause you know I'm kinda sorta feeling him."

I was baffled at her theory and just looked at her while at a red light. "Actually no that's not it. I can't explain what I'm thinking, but maybe it's nothing."

"It had to be something if you were that freaked out when you came out of that store." She insisted.

I heard a ping and Tay looked down at her phone then back at me.

"It's him isn't it?" I asked.

"He asked if you're okay, see he cares!"

I sigh as I pull into our parking garage. Maybe she's right, I must be overreacting.

"You know what fine I'll go but if anything happens then I get to say I told you so." I said giving in, because she'll probably be mad at me for a whole week if I don't go.

"You're weird nothing is up with him, he's a normal guy." Tay hopped out of the car and Charlie followed.

The rest of the night I finished my unpacking and cleaned a little. Tay and I ordered pizza and set up a cool fort on the balcony and watched bates motel on my laptop. I invited one of our good friends Maggie over since we haven't hung out in a couple weeks.

Around midnight she left and I went back in the apartment where my phone was charging since the balcony didn't have a plug, I didn't really want it near me me anyways cause I always get distracted and end up not actually watching the show or movie I'm trying to watch.

I pressed the home button and I had quite a few notifications because of twitter, I briefly read through them until one caught my eye.

It was from an account I haven't seen before.

It said 'I see you' with a picture attached, I hesitantly opened the app.

I got a chill when I saw the picture. It was my apartment, I zoomed in and realized something that petrified me.

It was taken tonight.

My legs felt like jello as I went back out to the balcony, "we have to go inside." I said in a low monotoned voice, tearing down the blankets and balling them up.

"I'm not done eating." Taylor said a bit annoyed.

"Taylor now!" I bent down down and whispered, "someone is watching us."

Her eyes widened and she quickly snapped her head to me. I could tell she was confused but thankfully she didn't ask any questions and helped me get everything back into our apartment.

I locked the balcony door then went to all the windows in the house and made sure they were locked. Tay went to the main door and made sure that was locked and put the chain on just incase.

I don't know who did this or what's going on, but I can honestly say I've never been this scared in my life.
