"I don't know who you are but you need to stay the hell away from me." I said answering the no caller ID call sternly, the shakiness in my voice clearly evident.
The person hangs up before saying a word, a loud pounding on my apartment door startl...
"You can't stay...here." I said. I think that's obvious. I don't know why he needs to be told.
Lines on his forehead creased, "it's late, are you really gonna make me drive all the way back to my house?"
"I'm pretty sure this wouldn't be the first time you're driving at night." I shot back, crossing my arms.
Kian got up and walked over to me and unfollowed my arms, "and I'm pretty sure that if anything happened you'd regret making me leave."
Why does he keep implying that something might happen? I bit the inside of my cheek and darted my eyes away from his gaze. "Fine," I huffed moving past him and got a few blankets from the storage closet, "here's some blankets, you can sleep on the couch." I handed them to him. "I'll be in my room."
As I walked to my room Kian called my name. "Thanks for not kicking me out." He smiled.
Not feeling like mustering up a sarcastic comment, I just rolled my eyes and uttered, "uh huh," before shutting my door behind me.
Charlie jumped up on my bed and watched me pick out some pajamas for when I get out of the shower.

While the hot water poured onto me I began to think, think about all the things that have been happening recently. And the fact that Kian is on my couch, which just baffles me all on its own, but I get a feeling that he has been looking for a reason to stay overnight and given this unusual opportunity, he took it. I mean come on, he drove all the way from his house to help me then refused to go home. That's just a little too strange for my liking.
I got tired of thinking about it and got out of the shower. I put on my pajamas and got into bed, Charlie instantly cuddled up next to me and it took no time for me to doze off.
In the middle of the night I rolled over and held onto what I thought was Charlie, but it didn't feel like a dog. I opened my eyes, a beam of light illuminated my room from the full moon. So I could see the silhouette of a person. I gasped loudly and retracted back to my side of the bed.
"No don't be scared." They said sitting up placing a hand on my side.
"Kian?"
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean for you to freak out, I swear I was gonna leave after a few minutes. I just came in to check on you and I ended up laying down real quick." He said in a rushed manner.
I sat up and turned my bedside light on, "why are you in my bed in the first place?! Do you know how fucking weird this looks?"
