Ash's POV
I walk Halley to our next class: gym.
She leans on me, sighing. "Thanks, Ash."
I smile. "No problem."
"Seriously though, I felt so weird. It was like my head was a massive water balloon that was about to explode."
"Hmmmm....."
"Yeah, I know."
We walk into the locker room and change.
I can't get over Sylt. He's there, in my head, and he needs to leave.
I told him things I normally wouldn't tell anyone. He was so easy to talk to...... It was weird. I didn't want to even say anything. His voice......Why did you say all that? He probably thinks you're a freaky loner now. Great going, Ash.
I sigh and shut my locker door close.
I walk with Halley into the gym and start running laps.
I spot Sylt and he smiles faintly in my direction.
I roll my eyes and glance away. I frown to myself.
Maybe Sylt's just easy to talk to? What if he's silently judging you? Like everyone else.
I clench my fists and take a deep breath.
You need a way to know for sure.
I smile to myself.
I know just the thing. This might epically fail.
I shrug to myself, then wince as my shoulder throbs.
Whatever. Like my life hasn't already epically failed.
