Anticipation

For the past two days, I have been in complete and utter agony, I haven't gotten much sleep knowing that my mate lives hours away and that I can't even get near her because of that damn barrier that blocks her village from the outside world.

Even Raed has become restless, it's as if he's moved to the back of my mind whimpering and moping while I'm left with trying to solve the issue of how can I see her again?

That question has been pondering my mind for days, there have been ideas but they were all thrown out because of the barrier or the high security that's been buzzing around every witch clan. Plus they've expanded their territories along with increasing their guards for the watch. Their patrol schedules keep changing and there isn't a reachable weak spot in their barrier.

The problem with coming up with a sufficient plan to get into the accursed witch village is that there is absolutely no way to get in. They've been on high alert for two days and I've sent Landon and another fighter to scout out any weak spots in the field along with certain blind spots the guards might have and so far they have nothing to report except a weak spot that is right across a rampaging part of the river, you either swim in the river and drown or go in a boat and get seen and probably shot down by the Guardians.

The feeling of irritation and exasperation is overwhelming me. "Dammit" I flipped over the large thick wooden dining table dumping all the contents on the floor. The sound of glass smashing along with the sounds of food and drinks splashing everywhere filled the room as I grabbed a chair and threw it on the other side of the room making it break and leave a dent in the wall.

I need to get out or I'll cause a rampage down the halls "Are you ready Raed?" He didn't answer me but I could feel his presence. I have a very strong compulsion to destroy everything because of being useless and not being able to see her. While passing all the pictures of my pack with their families and loved ones and looking at all their smiling faces it just made me even more agitated and the craving for my mate significantly increased the more I thought about her.

I barely even got to see her but the distinction from her silver eyes echoed in my memory. They're sparkling color, the steel resemblance, and the way her face sculpted them perfectly. It's been haunting my thoughts and dreams every time I try to fall asleep only to wake back up again and think about her.

"Whipped already and you don't even know her name" Raed chuckled

"She's your mate too jackass" That is the only thing he says to me after two whole days of ignoring me and making those damn whining noises. He became unusually quiet again and I was even more peeved "Going back to the corner again?" my voice filled with pique

Suddenly a feeling of hope flickered from Raed "Do you remember that hunter we met at Louis?" Raed's voice held a slight hint of optimism

"Yeah.....why?" Back during the war, I was leading a battle front through St. Louis, Missouri, I was meeting up with an old friend who was a spy during the war. While I was on my way out I encountered a Hunter dragging an unconscious half-breed basilisk /human through a back alley. When I first met him we didn't get along so well, but we eventually had to because of an enemy's battle front kept moving closer to the city. So we brought our two forces together and made strategical plans to turn the war into our favor. Nav, as I like to call him, hunts supernatural s-rated criminals which I found out from a background check I had done on him, we found very limited information on him so that's all I really know.

"Do you think he'll be able to get us past the barrier?" I asked Raed

"He might, he's very skilled with sneaking past alarms since he hunts mythical creatures for a living"  The flicker of hope sparked as I thought about the possibilities.
