The darkened hall wasn't well lit by the look of it. There was the occasional flicker of light from the spaced-out torches but other than that I had to use a night vision spell so I wouldn't bump into anyone or fall over anything.

After a while, you could eventually see a light coming from the end of the tunnel and the magic in the air gradually become thicker and thicker the closer we got to it. The scent in the air started to smell like musty wood and old books.

I absolutely loved this smell adn felt at heaven when we entered the library, my eyes took a few seconds to adjust to the light but when they did I could feel my jaw drop at the sight that was before me.

Books shelves that looked like the size of skyscrapers filled the room along with books floating around the air and moving to different shelves. Letters and papers went zooming past us to get to their designated location. Shelves stocked back to back with books of different sizes and shapes. Sounds of typewriters, computers, and pens were echoed through the aisles. It looked like the passageways went on infinitely the closer you looked at it.

"Lyredy are you seeing what I'm seeing" I heard Lydia whisper to her sister. If Lyredy was going to answer she was immediately silenced by Crius's interruption.

"Lenny! What did I tell you about eating your lunch near the tablets?" Crius hurriedly stalked off towards the girl that was drinking from a very large cup that had a lid and straw cover it, she was "eating" near what looked like marbleized books.

"I'm sorry Professor but I just-"

"No excuses Lenny, do you know how hard it is to get blood out of this type of carved stone," Crius stood over the girl as if he was scolding a child.

Did he say blood?

Whenever he took a small pause you could hear the girl respond with quiet words of "Yes professor, no professor, sorry professor".

After he was done he looked at the girl with pursed lips, she looked down and moved her lunch away from the stone tablets and drank it quietly. Crius then made his way back over to us.

"Back to the situation at hand," he said motioning to the library "I'm guessing you need something from this place".

I nodded at his assumption and still gazed in awe at the vast knowledge standing a few feet away from me. I felt myself itching to read all of this and never leaving this place until I do.

"Ok well, we will need something to help us look for it then," he said as he snapped his fingers and a book came shooting down from one of the shelves and landed gently in his hand. The cover of the books had the words 'Inventory and Locale' written on the cover. He flipped it open and looked at me with questioning eyes.

"What are you looking for Ms. Ivy" his eyes scanned my face searching for possible answers.

My mind went blank as I tried to think of an answer. I don't even know what the book was called, and honestly, I'm still vague on the details of it.

"Aliana needs the book that finds a cure for everything," Emerson replied for me. Crius shoulders slumped forward and looked at us with disbelief.

"Seriously?" he said as he tilted his head "Of all the things you could want, in this vast infinite world of knowledge, you need the one book that I lost!" he threw the book he had in his hand back into the air and it flew back up towards the shelf it belonged to. Then he started rambling off in different languages, the first one sounded like French and it transitioned to Russian but I couldn't determine what the rest was because he spoke way too fast.

We were trying to figure out what he was saying when Lenny popped up beside him and started to speak to him in Russian. They had, what looked like a deep conversation on what was happening. From the way their body language was, it looked like Crius was explaining our desire to have the lost book and the girl he called Lenny was giving out possible answers to our dilemma.
