Chapter 4 - Yugi's Crush & Memories

Yugi, Tea, and Anzu were currently in Yugi's room. They were discussing to play a game for fun, just to ligthen up the mood. Tea suddenly adviced a game. It was Truth Or Dare.

"You go first Yugi." Tea motioned.

"T-truth." He sheepishly smiled.

"Do you have anyone you like?" She asked.

"Y-yes."

"I have a feeling I know who it is." Anzu suddenly stated.

"Me too." Tea joined.

"W-well... Anzu! Truth or dare!" He yelled as he tried to avoid the current situation.

"Truth!" She grinned confidently.

Yugi smirked evily (he can smirk?!). "What is your MOST embarassing secret?"

Tea gasped at Anzu and mouthed 'Are-You-Going-To-Tell-Him-That-?'. Anzu nodded and heavily sighed as she told her story.

They were about to finish up their game when Anzu curiously asked. "So, who IS your crush?"

Yugi quirked at the question. Feeling his body tense up a bit at the word crush. "I-it's a childhood friend..."

"Oh." Tea and Anzu said, when they suddenly processed what he really answered into their minds. "Wait! How does he look like?!" Both of them said in sync.

"He was like me, but he had a few more strikes of hair going upwards like lightning bolts. And the tips of his hair were crimson as well as his eyes."

Yugi's gaze focused on the floor while his cheeks were bright red. Tea and Anzu just stared at each other and nodded, jaw still open.

The twins had already noticed who the boy was when he said the differences. It was their Master, and Yugi doesnmt seem to have realize it yet. 'This is going to be amusing...' They thought.

Yami was talking in the phone about some bussiness he had to do for the company when... he heard a quote.

"Screw the rules! I have money!" Kaiba slammed open the door and stomped over to Yami.

'Well here we go..." He heavily sighed and looked up at Kaiba.

"Where is the servant?"

"What servant?"

"The one we talked last night?!"

"Oh yeah. One minute." He went over to his phone and called Tea - who was apparently the madam or captain of the maids - to let her know that Joey was called to his office.

"Well?" Kaiba crossed his arms, his foot tapping down on the ground impatiently.

"He's gonna be here in a few mi-" Yami replied as he was stopped by the sound of a door opening. "Make that now."

The butler and his cousin just stared at each other. Yami felt uncomfortable and slowly walked out of the room, leaving the two in there to sort things out.

Yami walked down the halls, hoping to find Yugi and to have a chat with him. Honestly, only Tea, Anzu, and Yugi can talk to him like a friend. A friend.

Yami didn't have many friends. And if he did, they would all leave him because he rarely goes to school. He was more home-tutored. Everytime his friends come to visit him, his now dead father would ask the servants to shoo them away.

He was glad to have a friend and not worry about it. Then he remembered a certain friend that he had a long time ago.

Flashback

Yami walked down the mansion's halls, going to the library after having his short break. He met a little boy, much like himself. Although his golden bangs was all shoved down, framing his face, as for Yami, he had a few bangs striking upwards like lightning bolts. And how his eyes were dark crimson when the boy's was amethyst. As well as how the tips of his hair was crimson like his eyes, and the boy's was amethysts.

Yami found him fascinating and talked to him. At first , the boy refused to talk to him. But slowly, he had opened up about his past and how Yami was his first friend. Yami found out that the boy was a servant's son who worked there recently.

Few months had passed and they were now bestfriends. They would always meet up everyday and talk about the things happening around them.

But one day, it was all ruined. Yami's father had found out about his friendship with a servant, and he was very mad about it (I'm not talking about Mad Father XD). And surely, he would do something about this nonsense he thought.

The next day, Yami went to the servant's headquarters to find Yugi nowhere. He searched his room but found it empty. He was going to leave the room until he caught a note stuck on the table.

He read it and was shocked.

Dear Yami,

Your father had found out about our relationship and had cast me and my family out of the house. My mother and father were not angry with you nor me, they were fine with moving but they didn't bare to see me sad.

I'm happy that I met you Yami, you are truly a good friend. I would hope to meet you again in the future if possible.

Know that I will always remember you and that I will always miss you wherever you are. I would've said this to you one day but...

Yami Sennen, I Love You.

Thank you for everything you've given me. From presents to new emotions. I hope I will meet you again in the future.

Yami's eyes were wet and tears were falling down his face. He was angry with his father but the feeling of guilt, loneliness, and sadness overwhelmed him and made him traumatized.

After a w hile, he went to confront his father and instead, he got slapped by his father. His father had told him how friendship with common or poor people was not needed. Yami just shook his head no and yelled back to his father. He left the room and went to his room. He sobbed and cried as he remembered about his best friend Yugi. He swore to himself that he would find him one day, and meet again. And if that day came, it was his turn to tell his feelings. About how greatful he was to have met him. And also...

How he had loved him as well.
