Kai sat there feeling guilty...almost dirty. She knew what she had just done was scandalous, The man she loved was laying in a hospital bed clinging to his life and she had just got done messing around with his best friend. Not to mention he was the father of her best friend's child. She stood up from the couch and looked at Kenny, it wasn't like she could say he was the one the took advantage of her vulnerability because she was the one that kissed him.

"Kai I-"

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

They both looked toward the door

"Don't move" He instructed walking towards the door

Kai stood there with her hands in the pockets of her basketball shorts

"Dez? Why ain't you use your key ma?" Kenny asked as he opened the door

He was just trying to sound like he cared, in all actuality he was happy she hadn't used it because if she did and had come a few minutes earlier, she would've witnessed what just happened between him and Kai.

"I left it on my other key ring" she said walking past him and into the living room

"What are you doing here?" Dez said to Kai with an eyebrow raised

"I needed a place to crash, I didn't feel safe at my house" Kai said avoiding eye contact with her

"Oh" Dez said turning back toward Kenny "We need to talk"

"About?" Kenny said crossing his arms over his chest

Dez walked up to him un crossing his arms and wrapping them around her

"Well, In about nine month's you're going to be a daddy!" Dez said more enthusiastic then Kenny looked

"Of what?" He asked confused

"Um I have to use the bathroom" Kai said walking towards the stairs

"Naw hold that shit, you stay right where you at" He said without looking away from Dez

"How you get pregnant Dez?" His voice slightly raised

"The fuck you mean how did I get pregnant?!Nigga you was there you probably know better than I do!" She said raising her voice back

"I thought you were on the fucking pill Dezarae!" He yelled

"That shit don't always work Kenard! they tell you when you get on it there's a 2% chance you could still get pregnant!"

"So you plan on keeping it?" He asked

"Yea I plan on keeping it the fuck?! Why are you acting like this?" Dez asked with tears in her eyes

"C'mon Dez don't give me that shit, I told you when you asked me to take the rubber off that I ain't want no kids" he said turning his back to her and walking back over to the couch

"Then bitch you should've fucking pulled out!" She spat before storming out the living room

"Dez wait!" Kai said rushing after her friend

"Naw fuck him Kai, he wanna play me like I ain't shit! His ass better keep up with those child support payments!" she said before slamming the door shut

Kai stood there for a minute before walking back into the living room shaking her head

"You fucked up" She said to Kenny

"Naw fuck that. She knew I ain't want no fucking kids right now, especially not by her ass" he said flipping through channels

Kai looked at him for a while and went upstairs to grab her belongings
