3 Weeks Later

Kai and Mello were right back like they never left, the two had become inseparable and Kai was no longer just his "uh..Kai" like she once had been. She was now his woman and he was her man. Things were starting to get better for Kai. She had her man, a new job at an upscale clothing store which paid good enough for her to quit her job at the strip club and she was almost finished with her first semester of school.

Kai walked out the bathroom in her towel singing along as The Weeknd's song "The Morning" blared through her sound system. She took her phone off of the iHome when she realized she had a text message. She looked at the screen only to find a number she didn't recognize, when she unlocked the phone her mouth dropped, the number belonged to Dez. She hadn't seen nor spoken to Dez since the day Leek came and got her from school and honestly she was shocked. She hadn't come back to school since then either, she kinda just, dropped off the face of the earth...or at least that's how Kai saw it. The text read

Hey Kai this is Dez i got a new phone. i was wondering if u were going 2 class today?

As Kai waited for a reply she got up to do her hair for class she was tired of having her hair curly, she was tired of her hair period. She made a mental note to book a hair appointment later on that day but until then she just pulled her hair up into a sleek almost perfect bun. As she lotioned her body Kai felt her phone vibrate again with a text that read

Kai put on the white Mossimo and Co. shirt and dark Denim Levi skinny jeans she had layed out on her bed and plain Turquoise flats showing off the rose tattoo on the top of her foot. She put on the Diamond studs her mom gave her for her graduation and a neck scarf the same color as her flats. She walked over to the mirror to inspect herself, after putting on some of her favorite lipgloss and perfume from Bath and Body works she was pleased with what she saw so she grabbed her purse and keys and headed out. Kai drove down the highway singing along to some song when she noticed Mello's Mercedes turning into a Red Lobster parking lot.

"He's allergic to Sea Food...what the fuck is he doing here" She thought

She made a swift and illegal U turn into the parking lot and pulled up behind the car. She was trying to get a good look into the darkly tinted windows when the driver door opened and out stepped a thick caramel skinned girl with curly weave and straight leave out, knock off Jimmy Choo's and a worn out Louis Vuttion bag . Kai was fuming, who was this random bitch getting out of her mans car? She looked at the clock and was pissed she didn't have time to investigate, She took her car out of park and sped off towards the university. When she pulled up to the school her mind was all over the place and to make matters worse she was late for class.

She walked in the classroom trying her best to go unnoticed. The lights were out and her professor was at the front of the class flipping through slides of a power point presentation. Kai was scanning the room for a place to sit when she saw Dez signal her to the a seat by her. She quickly maneuvered through the aisle and sat down with out getting caught.
