I was browsing through the library with little intrest, I use to love books but now I don't have the time to read one. I pulled out a book I fell in love with. Percy Jackson by Rick Riodan. I read most of his book and especially love this series. I sighed and put it back on the shelf.

"You read books", a voice said. I looked up at the library's desk and noticed Tessa sitting down in a chair. I hadn't noticed her there when I first walked in. I smiled and shook my head,

"Not anymore,... I use to be a bookworm when I was younger", I said and thought back to those days. Where Sloan was still al-
I shoved my memories from my mind and focused on the pretty face in front of me. She had stood up and and approached me, she was tall enough for her head to reach to my eyes. I slid my hands in my pocket and smiled down at her. She blushed a little,

"Yeah I never cared for books", she said giving the book shelves a hard stare. I laughed at her non-connection to books.

"Don't hate the books, no one forced you to read them", I said humoursly. She rolled her eyes,

"Whatever, you hadn't been in middle school for healers who have to read books about the parts of the body. Each book was the size of my arm", she complained playfully.

"Yeah, I'll probably hate books as well if I had to go through all of that too", I agreed. We were interrupted when the bell rung, she looked at the intercom then back at me.

"What class do you have", she asked. I rummaged through my pocket and pulled out a crumpled sheet of paper and handed to her. She gave the paper a look and smoothed it out.

"Ummm, lets see. Oh, you have history. Since you're a Rahul, your class will be with the fairies and vampires. All three species dealt in a war about three hundred years ago", she said handing it back. I raised my eye brows,

"So which hall exactly", I asked confused. She blushed,

"I'm sorry, it's on the 400 wing", she apologized. I nodded said thanks then left.

The hallway were crowded as I made my way the 400 wing. At first I walked into the wrong class and had to rush to the right one before I was late. Unfortunately the stupid school had two 420 classrooms. A empty classroom that was now used for storage and the real class room. I was late just as I touched the door handle. I sighed as I walked in, surprisingly the teacher already began. According to my schedule the teacher's name was Mr. Juan. He was an older Chinese man with thinning grey hair and a long figure. He was taller than me. He looked at me sternly.

"Nice of you to join us Mr... ", he said when I walked in.

"Mr. Azoro Grey", I said. He narrowed his beady eyes at me. I felt everyone's stare on me.

"You're Sloan's son", he said in a fixated tone. I stopped heading to my seat and turned around.

"What's it to you," I said noticing his rude tone. He shrugged nonchalantly,

"He should've kept clear from that vampires, he was a dangerous man", he said oblivious to my sudden anger.

"Why would he when the vampire was draining blood from the human villages two hundred years ago. What should he have he done, " I said my voice was strain.

"Azoro", a voice snapped. I turned to see India in the back of the class giving me a pointed look. It took me a second to fully recognize her. I blinked and headed to the seat next to her. The teacher waited for me to seat before beginning.

"Try not to look stupid in front of the princess", India whispered sharply and glanced a seat in front of me to the left. I followed her gaze.

There giving me a curious look was a girl our age. She was pale, had golden looking eyes and a strong set jaw. Her blond hair was up in a ponytail. She regarded me with somewhat of intrest. I didn't stop staring till India nudged me with her foot.

"Stop being rude. Let your grudge so,... It's for the best", she whispered more softly. I turned to India, she actually manage to make me feel calm. No need to hate Princess June, just Asyrd. I turned my gaze to the teacher and tuned out. Protecting a vampire,... Never thought I'll ever do that within my lifetime.

Princess June and I was formally meet during lunch. The entire Rahul guard filled the entire table and she sat smack dead next to me. It was hard to look at her without being attracted to  her beauty Vampires were made to make their prey weak with a look, it makes a easier kill. Right now she was staring hard at me, studying me as I ate. India watched all of this nervously. I kept thinking of driving this fork through her chest but that wouldn't work unless it was stake. Silver were meant for werewolves. I could plung my hand in her chest and rip her heart out. But I probably will mess up and grab a couple of ribs instead. It was harder than it sounded.

"Azoro,... isn't it ", the vampire spoke in a low tone. Everyone at the table suddenly relaxed. That meant they wanted to pretend they weren't listening but really was. I finished chewing my fries before answering with a stiff nod.

"You got angry with Mr. Juan this morning over a man named Sloan. Why?, " I nearly choked,

"Why. You should already know why, the council didn't tell you", I asked bewildered. She shook her head,

"They don't care as long as my parents continue to supply them with money, so why did you get angry", she spoke in a tone that made it seem she don't know how to have a conversation with a regular person. She was all stiff and quiet. I exhaled and looked at her.

"A vampire almost turned my father, Sloan. I had to kill him myself because he was too weak to do it himself. Asyrd Silver knew what he was doing and if I ever see him again I'll make sure I'll give him a chance to run for his life", I said answered. She looked startled, the only emotion she ever displayed up till this point.

"You sure his name is Asyrd Silver", she asked. I frowned and nodded,

"Why?", she hesitated then the lunch bell rung. She hurried up and left with several off her guards. My gaze followed her. Why did she look nervous. Then it hit me,... She knows him. Of course why didn't I seen it sooner. Vampires stick together, she might have even warn him. I'm need to get the location from her, even if I need to hurt her.
