June's Birthday party wasn't at the mansion like I would've thought it would, but actually in a town 9 miles from the school. It was called Mayfield. And boy did the town looked gorgeous to me right now. No more dull mansions and time consuming schools. I could tell I wasn't the only one enjoying the sight. Most of us on the bus was looking out the window. June had rented it for us to drive in to an old warehouse she bought for special occasions. And her turning 87 years old and still being able to look my age was something special. She even invited half the town's human school. India made sure that fangs were not going to be clamping people necks today. She brung Daruis along to have fun with since I was going to be occupied with Tessa. I also plan on talking to June about Asyrd. It was time to get the information out of her.
"You ready for a line of willingly girls at your beck and call. Because I know I am. Maybe a brunette today, or a red head. I have a thing for red heads", Eric said from the seat next to mine. India sat with Darius in front of me while Tessa was with me.
"I doubt the girls will find interest in a pervert", she commented coolly. Eric rolled his eyes and looked at me,
"Remind me why I can't be mean back. If words could kill I'll be dead by now", he complained frustrated. India grinned at me over the seat.
"Because she's my bestfriend, I don't want to have to jump in every time", I answered. He groaned and slumped in the seat,
"Just watch though India, I'm have a red head before the party ends. Bet", he said grinning,
"Okay, twenty dollars say you don't get a red head", Indy shot over the seat.
"Deal. Wanna jump in on the cash Azoro", he asked, I shook my head.
"How about your girl here", he said towards Tessa. Shook her head too. I wondered why she was so quiet. I for one was was happy Darius wasn't joining the conversation. He was stiff in the seat with India, I also noticed that she wasn't looking at him as she usually does. Maybe they were in a couples fight, anyways it isn't my business.
I nudged Tessa with my knee,
"Hey, you okay", I asked. She nodded reassuringly.
"Yeah just a little tired. I was up all last night studying surgical methods", she yawned rubbing her eyes.
"Oh, I mean you didn't have to come", I said a little worried. This could lead to a massive headache later.
"No, no I'm fine. Just hope their something to get me drunk. Being sober isn't a night of fun for me", she said rubbing her head. I gave her a curious look,
"You drink", I asked.
"Sometimes, try to get lightly buzzed with me. It'll ease you up", she offered.
"Sorry, I'm here to protect the princess, getting buzzed isn't the best method", I declined.
"Oh please bestfriend, I could handle keeping June safe with a blindfold on. Have your fun, just don't get fully drunk. I need to talk to you later. OK? ", she said. I saw a glint of something in her eyes I couldn't put my finger on. It was more of a serious tone covered up with cheerfulness. And she made sure I only knew. I nodded.
"Alright, I guess I'm in the clear then", I grinned. Tessa smiled gently and glanced at Darius nervously. Eric saw it to, a warning on his lips.
"Later", I mouthed to him. She wasn't tired, she was hiding something.

The warehouse was full of teenagers hot, sticky bodies and apparently beer and keg stands. The V. I. P. section consisted of me, Eric, India, Tessa, and Darius. June was smack down behind us on a balcony. She barely made conversation with anyone though. I felt sorry for her, for some reason. She never connected with anyone that I knew of. This could be my chance to get some information out of her.
But for right now I was going to try out drinking beer. It's most definitely nasty to me but I was feeling a little weird. Like stopping wouldn't matter. After three cans I was suddenly disgusted of it and quit. However, Tessa on the other hand was downing it like oxygen. She went through thirteen cans and was slurring up her words. It seemed wrong to see her like this, almost usual as it was bad. India and Darius were both talking to Eric who was trying to escape from their sudden talkative side to him. He casted me a pleading look but I grinned evilly and shook my head. He gave me his middle finger and began to pretend he was all about the conversation that Darius brung up.
"You've ever had sex before", Tessa slurred. I gave a start at the question,
"What?", I said. She was leaning over the lounge chair and she blinked sleepily at me.
"You heard me, have you ever had-",
"Yeah,...nope. I don't just give it up to anyone. Besides I haven't got into a relationship before", I answered, sensing this was heading in a bad direction.
"Me neither. Never met the a guy that w-", Tessa gagged and threw up onto the sofa. I leaped back in a hurry, India jumped up and grabbed a basket then handed it to her. She continued to let it all out before wiping her mouth and looked up at India.
"Can you help me to the girls bathroom", she asked, India looked like she thought it was weird but agreed none then less.
"I'll go with you just in case you need another hand", Darius said. Indy gave him a annoyed look but didn't say anything as she helped Tessa up.
I turned to find Eric gone and June with her back to us on a balcony that I didn't see. Or was it a broken ledge. I walked up next to her and sat down.
"You don't want to check on your girlfriend", she asked.
"Nah, Indy can handle it. I have a question for you", I said suddenly feeling nervous. She took in a deep breath,
"Go ahead",
"How do you know Asyrd Silver", I felt her relax as if the world was lifted of her shoulders.
"My father is on the council and the only reason I'm being protected",
"Well if that isn't vague... ", I said.
"It'll take time telling you the full story. But what you need to know is that if you're going to kill Asyrd, please wait till I get there. I need something from him", she said, Her voice cracking. My eyes widened,
"You okay?",
"Yeah, just need to take a breather", she said a fake attempt of a joke.
"I promise that I'll let you see him before he dies. But I need to hear the rest of the story", I said gently, she opened her mouth only to be interrupted by a scream and yell. I stood up in alarm. India was in danger.
Azoro was just going to find more about Asyrd but now it seems that India is in trouble. What could be wrong? Only one way to find out.
