I was sitting in the lobby with O while the cops were asking Clarke some questions. We called them straight away after having discussed the pros and cons of such a decision. Not calling the cops would mean an endless stress of Atom being free in the city. Calling them was knowing he would revenge one way or another. But at least we would have these couple of years, and probably some kind of protection. After all, we did manage to deliver one of the most wanted drug dealer in town.
Clarke came back and sat next to us. She lean her head on my shoulder and exhaled heavily. I caught her hand and we waited for he cops to leave with Atom. When he walked out the door, with handcuffs and policemen surrounding him, he did manage to turn to us and gave us the meanest, fullest of hate look I ever saw.
The sirens started again and their sound faded with time.
- Now what? Clarke and Octavia synchronized.
We all laughed from the situation and probably out of nervosity too.
- I guess, we got to move on. I replied.
- Go back to our lives. Clarke continued.
- But you're leaving... Octavia finished.
We sat there a couple more minutes and then all got back to my apartment.
- 4 months later -
The plane landed in Chicago and I got out as quickly as I could. I haven't been here in the last two months and I couldn't contain my excitement to see everybody back again. I caught my luggage from the conveyor belt and rushed out.
She was there. All nervous, looking for me. But I saw her first. And it allowed me to look at her. To look at her perfect blond hair, her pristine skin, her beautiful blue eyes. And her lips. Her lips that I've been dying to kiss again.
She finally saw me and started running towards me. I dropped my luggage and caught her straight away. Her legs rolled around my back and she started kissing me uncontrollably.
- I'm so happy you're back! She said.
- So am I. I've missed you...
- We talked everyday for the last 4 months, Bell. She answered.
- I know, but I've truly missed you. I continued.
- And I you. She replied before kissing me again.
After a couple of minutes of us being US again, she took one of my bags and we started getting out of the airport. But we we're not going to the parking, we were going to the quick drop. And I knew what this meant. It meant someone else was driving and I could 100% bet it was my sister.
And I was right. Octavia was leaned against her car, with a huge smile on her face. Her style changed. She was wearing loose clothes now, one of the things I couldn't understand in fashion. I got to her and gave her a hug but it felt like something was in between us.
- What are you hiding underneath this sweater. I joked.
- Someone...?
- Hahaha, weird. I laughed. But her look was insistant. Ohhh like pregnant someone?
- Surprise!
- Why haven't you told me earlier?
- It was a bit unplanned, and well, last time you were here, you were busy being, you know, Bellarke. She explained, laughing.
- I'm so happy for you, O. A bit scared but happy. I said, giving her a hug again.
- Can you imagine how scared I am? She replied, jokingly.
We drove to Clarke's apartment. It hasn't changed since last time I was here. Not that I expected it to change in two months. But you know, you always have that little feeling that being absent will make everything different. We were invited later that day by Octavia and Lincoln for a dinner with all our friends. So we spent our day in bed, reconnecting.
Clarke turned back to me and looked me in the eyes.
- When are you coming back? She asked.
- Actually, I need to tell you something.
- I knew it. You were so excited at the airport. You're not coming back before a long time, are you?
- Well, in fact... I'm not going back to New York, Princess. I said.
- I... You what? She asked.
- I'm staying in Chicago for good. I've managed to make kind of a deal with my boss. I explained.
She jumped on me and started to kiss my whole face.
- You're staying!!! Oh my god, you're staying! You're definitely moving in with me. She said, excited.
- Take it easy, Princess. Let's not rush into this relationship. I joked.
She looked at me surprised.
- Got ya! Of course I wanna live with you, Princess. I said rolling over so I was above her.
I kissed her nose, her cheek and then her soft lips.
- I'm not going anywhere, Princess. I said.
- I'm not gonna let you, Bell. She replied.
