- Truth is, no matter who you'll ever try to outrun, they will always beat you when you hold resentment. -
Rose walked back into her room, to see Erin patiently waiting on her bed.
"Have you decided yet?" She looked worried.
"Yes." Rose nodded slowly.
"Well?"
Rose walked to her bed, pulling out her suitcase.
As soon as this happened Erin let out a wild moan. "But I don't want you to leave!!!!" She threw herself back down onto the bed.
Rose just laughed, not that she wasn't going to miss Erin for the next whatever weeks, (If she'd even be allowed back), she was, she just made her feel important and wanted.
"Come here, girl!" Rose walked to the bed and gave Erin a warm hug.
Erin sighed as sat back down, looking over to the wall where their photos had been placed.
"Here, have this one." She pulled the photo off the wall and handed it to Rose.
Rose took one look at it and smiled. "Thank you, Erin." She said thoughtfully, feeling a tear prick the side of her eye, making her nose itch.
It was their first photo together.
The day they had first met, first when Rose learnt how to do a duck face. Many photos had been taken since this day, the same tradition applying.
Blue-tack still stuck to the back of the photo, Rose placed it in her journal, the one she'd barely had time to write in for days.
After Erin had finished helping her pack, she gave one last hug and walked down the stairs to be greeted by all the girls for yet another round of hugs.
By the time she'd walked out the door, she was greeted by Mr. Coagan.
"I really don't understand how you could want to go back to this?" He chuckled, pointing towards the boys' cabin, which was breaching about 400 metres away. The two walked towards the unattractive station looking building, finally making it to the entrance lobby.
"Rose?" She heard her name being called by a familiar voice.
Josh.
She turned to see him standing there, looking somewhat confused yet hints on his face of happiness.
He ran over and gave her a deep hug, she almost had to push him off.
"Hey, Josh." She smiled politely.
"What's gotten into you? you're all... classy?"
"Classy?" Rose raised her eyebrows in discontent, to then realise it did come across as that.
"I'm sorry, I guess I've just adjusted to classier environments and I don't know rubbed off on it." She shrugged, trying to push it aside, Josh's facial expression showed aggro and possibly debatable fear, making Rose feel uneasy.
"Well, you're staying now?"
"Yes, maybe for a little while."
"Why would you leave? and then come back?"
"Because."
"Because why?"
"Because, Josh. You're a guy and you do not understand."
That was Rose's excuse to every guy who she didn't want to bother waste her time explaining things to.
She was just tired and sick of Josh in her face trying to be her best friend when they clearly weren't really matched out for each other, at all. In any real way or form.
"Okay. Fine. Whatever?" He frowned slightly, making the sentence more of a question to himself as he decided what to say next, or I guess you could call that do, next.
He looped around on one heel and walked in the other direction.
Rose squinted at his decision. He just turned her back on her and walked away just like that, just because she wouldn't tell him something that was her business.
Fine.
Rose turned as well, walking back to her old cabin again. Dark green metal door, red chalky brick, sandy carpet. What horrible decorating.
She'd forgotten how bad this place actually was, or that might have just been because she'd been living in luxury for the past few weeks.
She turned the knob and peered in, to find nobody in the room.
Nobody, though all the beds had been taken. Even her old bed.
She sat on her suitcase which had fallen on the floor where her old bed was and she crouched her knees to her chest.
Even Rose didn't know what Rose was doing.
She doesn't even know why she chose to come back.
She just had this gut feeling, what her mother always told her to follow.
And that gut feeling was Reece.
The new feelings developing had obviously changed her line of thought and perception to make good decisions.
Because moving back was obviously not a good decision.
